Jan 24, 2016- Received my treatment plan today. I am seeing that normally people get a 3D plan but I got a 2D plan and treatment will last for 7 months. I asked them why it is a 2D and they said because I only have a moderate case that will be completed in a short amount of time whereas some people have cases that last longer. Also if my treatment will only take 7 months why would I continue to pay $99 a month for 17 months way after my treatment is over? Has anyone has any experience with this? Will upload pictures of the treatment plan as soon as I can.
June 13, 2016- I did the online assessment…
June 13, 2016- I did the online assessment and ordered my evaluation kit. I also did the photo assessment and my evaluation kit was sent out the same day. I got my evaluation kit within a few days. With being a full-time student and working full-time I had to put this on hold until I had some extra time. Also my dentist suggested I get my wisdom teeth out.
Dec 2016-I finally graduated school and got my wisdom teeth removed and was able to start back up with the treatment. Smile Direct Club informed me that the evaluation kit does not expire. I went ahead and submitted a new photo assessment via email showing the removal of my wisdom teeth. They recommend waiting 6 weeks after wisdom teeth removal and it had been 6 weeks since then.
Jan 6, 2016- I completed the evaluation kit and mailed it in. I figured they would be denied because both of my bottom molds you could not see the gum line and the top molds on one of them my molars were uneven.
Jan 13, 2016-They sent me an email saying they needed a do over on my evaluation kit. I did not want to do the kit again and chance messing up and prolonging the process so I scheduled an appointment at the closest Smile Shop. I was able to get in the next day.
Jan 14, 2016-At the Smile Shop they did a 3D scan of my entire mouth which was pretty cool. They also took more pictures of my teeth which I was happy about because the ones I had submitted before I took by myself. The people working in the Smile Shop were polite and professional.
Jan 17, 2016-I got an email saying they have received my scan and were working on building my smile. They said it would be 7-10 days for me to receive my treatment plan.
