Wow, you look great!! How much did the surgery cost?
January 5, 2020
Thank you! It was about $7K.

How are you feeling now? Did it hurt to take the foam off? Doing that tonight and I'm so nervous!
January 11, 2020
I had my 2 week post-op on the 6th. He gave me the okay to wear something like a Spanx or faja. And if I start swelling which I would probably, I could always put the foam and abdominal binder back on. It feels so weird having the foam off because I still can't feel my stomach. I was considered about one area but he said it would smooth out and it is starting to

Are you still in pain? Can you move comfortably? Sorry--you're like a week ahead of me and I'm already so tired of feeling this way!
January 12, 2020
Pain, no. Uncomfortable, yes. I put my foam back on this weekend because I swell during the day. I have a cream I massage with and certain spots are painful. Still numb so that feels weirdddd

Thank you! Good luck!

Hi. Your results look great. Are you having any issues w excess skin? Im debating wether getting lipo or tummy tuck.
January 23, 2020
Thank you! As of right now I'm not noticing any extra skin. My surgeon was very honest about his opinion on if I needed skin tightening, he didn't feel I needed it. But I am still swelling and holding fluid, I can just tell some days are better than others. I am still numb in some areas and am having to massage 2 areas that are a little lumpy but honestly it's not bad and I feel it will heal correctly.

9 Day Post-Op

britth89
So sorry I haven't updated! I had a friend down from out of state so we've been busy. I will say by day 4.. wow swelling!! I could feel myself swelling as the day went on, the abdominal binder was getting tighter. Very uncomfortable! I didn't rest as much as I should have. Didn't have much bruising at all. Still have sore spots/lumps but I'm trying to massage out as best as I can until it hurts too bad. I've been taking arnica tablets and massaging with arnica gel. Idk if it helps or not but doesn't hurt to take it so why not. Called Dr at one week and got the okay to take Ibuprofen so I took some before I knew I'd be out and about.

Definitely getting better by the day. I know it's still early and I can hold fluid for a month or so.. so I'm trying to be patient and let my body heal.

Tips: take stool softener (the medicine made me constipated), do not be afraid to take the pain medicine (alot of people don't want to depend on it, like me for example, but I chose to be comfortable and able to rest), have someone be there to help you wrap (it was difficult to hold the foam and try to wrap the binder at the same time) to make sure placement is correct and tight enough, have healthy snacks and smoothies on hand (especially if you were a bad snacker before break the habits now so your body can heal properly).

If you have any questions ask away! I'll try to upload pics labeled with dates on another post.
