WORTH IT
Had my surgery this morning. Was given a cocktail to take 30 min before surgery, a long with gas in the room while numbing. Yes it was uncomfortable and some spots hurt but nothing like I was expecting. I expected it to hurt bad. The whole procedure was tolerable, mostly pressure. Some spots did actually hurt but when I winced he moved to another area. They wrapped me up when done, answered any questions I had.
Got home and laid the puppy pad looking thing down watched some TV, drank a watermelon antioxidant drink, and took a nap. Woke up in pain and leaking out. My friend helped me change the pads out and boy did that hurt! I was feeling woosy probably from not much food in my stomach (oatmeal for breakfast). I recommend wearing big ugly clothes because I did leak out and it got on my favorite baggy Victoria Secret pants.
Anyways, went to bed with a trashbag and towel. Took another nap. Woke up in pain again so I decided to get up and get a protein pack (had ham, cheese cubes, and almonds) and a water. Helped me feel better. But it was very painful getting out of bed I felt lightheaded. My friend brought my meds, took a Tylenol and Tramadol and my antibiotic. Also she made me a shake a bought for energy. I am leaking out a little bit not really enough to need to change but I'm hurting too bad to want to change. I'm gonna get up early and shower with the soap they provided and I have a post-op in the morning.
I'll post the before and after pics once I'm cleaned up tomorrow.

Thanks for sharing this! I'm terrified of the pain

Hi, I was terrified of the pain as well. I was basically sleep for the entire procedure due to being so drugged up. I felt one part and it was pretty much like someone had pushed me in the side or something.
Nothing crazy at all, I almost want to say "I didn't feel a thing" because it really was painless. If you chose to proceed, you'll be fine!

Day 2

britth89
Took a shower this morning, cleaned up with the Hibiclens soap, and put on new pads. Went to post-op appointment. They changed pads again for me and I am now wearing a foam padding underneath the compression garmet to help keep things in place.

I did throw up during the car ride home, probably because I didn't eat anything when I took my meds. Got home ate a yogurt and laid around. Changed pads again. 2 incisions are leaking the other incisions are doing well.

Pain is tolerable. I forgot to take pics but I will tonight if I can remember. Definitely swollen in the middle of my stomach where the most fat was taken out.
