Smart Lipo Success. I can feel a huge difference in my clothes

I spent many years dealing with a series of hormone issues that made it extremely difficult for me to lose weight and decrease my body fat. Even with my hormones finally stable, my body had been through a lot and I was not happy with the result I got with diet and exercise alone. In January, I decided I was ready to start looking for surgeon who could perform Smart Lipo on my upper/lower abs, backs of my arms, flanks, back and inner thighs. I found Dr. David E. Berman on RealSelf late in the afternoon on a Saturday. I figured I would set up a consultation and sent in the form to request more information - he emailed me (himself, personally - not a generic response) within an hour letting me know a member of his team would contact me to set up the consultation on Monday. As promised, I was contacted Monday to schedule the appointment and met with Dr. Berman later in the week. The consultation was great - Dr. Berman met with me and answered all of my questions. He described the procedure to me in detail and set my expectations realistically (I was never going to be 'skinny' again without continued diet and exercise, but I would have less large fat deposits - I certainly appreciated the honesty). He was willing to talk with me as long as I wanted to talk, not rushed at all. I was so impressed by the initial consultation - his 'bedside manner' was excellent, his facilities were spotless, and his staff was very kind - I didn't even go to another consultation, Dr. Berman was the surgeon for me.

My procedures were scheduled over two days (due to some impending weather we went with February 18 and 19th). To prepare for my surgery, one of the ladies in the office explained to me what type of compression garment I would need to procure and I was given prescriptions to fill prior to my surgery. The compression garment was my least favorite thing about the entire experience. That has nothing to do with Dr. Berman, I just found it challenging to figure out how to correctly estimate which size garment to purchase because so many reviewers have conflicting opinions. The day of the first surgery, I took the designated combination of pills. At some point in time, my sister must have taken me and driven me back home. I remember learning to say 'Thank you' in russian and singing along to the Eagles (poor Dr. Berman) - all in all, it was a very good day for me. The next day I did the same - again, no complaints.

Prior to my surgery, Dr. Berman and I came up with a plan for how I would manage any pain. I tend to become extremely sick with any narcotic, so we had discussed my taking over-the-counter pain pills instead. All the worrying I had done was really unnecessary - even though I had some 'discomfort' I didn't really have any pain. All in all, I only ended up taking like 2 tylenol.

In addition to the Smart Lipo, I started drinking the Pruvit ketone supplement that Dr. Berman recommends (I bought some of the samples at his office to start and then started ordering my own). I have to say - I love them - I drink at least one a day. I'm down another 10 pounds and very happy about it.

I am now at 3 months out and I can feel a huge difference in my clothes. I can tell my flanks and arms are not fully healed, but they definitely look much better. I'm excited to see how I look in another three months.
