6 weeks post
About 6 weeks post-op now. I'm a little less uncomfortable, but not well enough to go without the compression garment. And to think, I was all excited to reach the 6-week mark since the Dr. told me I wouldn't have to wear the garment after now!
Up until yesterday, I've only been taking the garment off to shower, then putting it right back on afterward. Yesterday, I left it off for a couple of hours and honestly couldn't wait to get it back on. It's kind of hard to explain, but my upper arms just feel so weird that I'm much more comfortable with the garment on. I guess it can't be a bad thing to wear it longer than needed, but I will be careful to keep it off more frequently to let my skin breathe...
We're now about a month into being quarantined for COVID-19 so I still haven't had any additional follow-ups with my surgeon, which is fine by me.
As of today, I'd have to say that I'm still not convinced that this procedure was worth it as my arms are still so swollen that they look the same as they did beforehand. And the incisions near my elbows still feel really weird and super tender. I'm hopeful that once I hit the 4-6 month marks, I will see some improvement.

Still pretty uncomfortable
A little over a month post-op, and I can't say I feel 100% just yet. Maybe closer to 65%. I expect the numbness and sensitivity in the procedure area to be sore for a while. But I will admit that I'm surprised that my incision sites are still so tender feeling, especially the incision closest to each elbow.
I live in Northern California, which is under COVID quarantine for a little over 2 weeks. So, no more follow-ups with my surgeon, which is fine by me since I didn't really have the time anyway! No harm was done, I think I'm healing pretty normally. From what I've read online over the past few weeks, I should have expected more discomfort.
One thing that I've been super grateful for during my post-op healing process is the fact that I work from home. I can't even imagine trying to go to work with the compression padding for those first two weeks! Luckily, at home, I've been able to wear loose, comfortable clothing, which has certainly helped.

SO uncomfortable
I'm 8 days post-op and am feeling better each day.
Yesterday was the first day that I could actually take the compression garment off and take a full shower. I was dreaming about that shower all week! Then came the reality of actually doing it... The shower itself was glorious, but getting the compression garment on afterwards was pure hell! It took me about 45 minutes to get the garment back on along with the foam pads that the doctor had placed underneath.
Long story short, I was pretty uncomfortable before the shower and couldn't WAIT to get that garment off. But once I actually had it off, I couldn't wait to get it back on! It was definitely more uncomfortable without the garment.
With the garment off, I got a good look at my surgical incisions and results so far. I have to say, my arms look just as flabby as they did before surgery (to me at least), so I'm hoping that my skin will tighten up and the swelling will go down as more time passes. I know that I really won't see full results for 5-6 months, but was hoping to at least see some change right away....
It's weird to me that my arms still look so flabby, because they really don't feel it, if that makes sense. Anytime I move my upper arm, my biceps just feel exaggerated and I'm guessing that may be since there's less fat surrounding them. Maybe it's all in my head! We'll see how things go over the next few weeks and months...
