Smart Lipo Journey

Don’t go to CG Cosmetics!!

Hey beautiful people,

So I promised an update so here it goes.
As you may or may not know, last year I got Smart Lipo thinking it was a safer and cheaper alternative to Lipo. Boy was I wrong. I paid over $5000 for Smart Lipo just to have a botched stomach.

I got a revision which didn’t fix me completely but with diet and exercise I was able to pull it off.

So a year later, you can imagine my excitement when I saw a promotion for $3500 to get a BBL from CG cosmetics. I did my research, I saw minimal pictures and still I was sold because the price was enticing.

Well the phrase “you get what you paid for,” has proven true for me in this case.

So the process went like this. A coordinator from CG Cosmetic asks me to send pictures and answer a questionnaire via text to determine if I am a suitable candidate for a BBL. The questions ask about your demographics, desired surgery date, PREVIOUS SURGERIES, Medications, allergies, etc.

I fill out the questionnaire truthfully and get back a message stating I am a good candidate and how would I like to proceed. I ask what the next process is, and she states she will send me a payment authorization. They are eager to get that $3500 as soon as possible. I am able to hold my date for a $1000 non-refundable deposit.

I strongly suggest you get your medical clearance ASAP before giving up all that money because it is not easy to get your money back.

Fast forward. The day before the surgery, I get to their facility in Miami and I have to fill out paperwork with the front desk. I am then called into a room where they check my debit card and make me sign a receipt.

After I have to meet with a medical assistant. As I am waiting a sales rep notifies me of all the stuff I will need post-op. This includes a $150 faja, and massages that cost $100 each, but there’s a “special” for 3 massages for $150. So with that plus the ab board, foams, and socks I pay a total of $450.

I meet with the MA who takes a few photos and then states that I have to pay to take a pregnancy test! WTH! Luckily, It was that time of the month so I did not pay for ish! Then, I learn I will not meet with the surgeon until 30 minutes BEFORE my surgery. RED FLAG! I wish I followed my instincts.

Day of the surgery I am put in a small room, after being asked to pee in a small cup, to determine yet again if I am not pregnant.

I am told to take my clothes off. An anesthesiologist comes in asks me a few questions then boom, I finally meet my surgeon.

He starts talking to me and asking me questions. He seems nice. I tell him about my hx of smart lipo and he says, and I quote, “thanks for making my job more difficult.” He starts telling me how smart lipo is frowned upon and it’s harder to lipo 360 after smart lipo because of the way it’s done.

I showed him the fat near my bra straps, and tell him it was never touched. He didn’t seem like he cared.

So, imagine finding out 30 minutes before your surgery, that you are indeed NOT a suitable candidate due to your hx of smart lipo. I wanted to cry. He made me sign something that said I would see little improvement. I couldn’t believe this was happening. I went forward with the surgery.

I stood there naked fighting back tears trying to convince myself not to do it.

I regret doing it. I look the same. The Faja makes it look like there’s something, but when I take it off it’s my pre surgery body.

What pissed me off was that he didn’t take any fat from my upper back. He just left it there. If he used that little fat it could of given me a better look.

But no, I look the same.

Be careful. Please ladies do your research so you are not wasting your precious time and money.

Demand to talk to your surgeon. The coordinators don’t know what the hell they are talking about. They just want your money!!!!

Learn from my mistake. This experience was terrible. I’m just gonna have to hit the gym.

My post op- I didn’t meet with the surgeon. I never saw the surgeon again. I had to meet with a a doctor I never met before. She checked my incisions, gave me paperwork of post-op care and that was it.

I am two weeks post op. I sent them an email requesting a revision. The response was, and I quote, “Miss you have to come see Dr. Carvalho.”

I live in MA.

I don’t think you should blame the doctors. You knew it wasn’t right from jump why go along with it if the doctor himself told you that you weren’t going to see any change?
Because at that point he had already marked my body up. I shouldn’t have done it but that my mistake that I made and I know that. & I don’t really blame the doctors. It more so the coordinators who clearly gave me wrong information. I didn’t know that I wasn’t going to see much improvement until 30 minutes before my surgery. At the point, after all it took to even get to that point. I just gave in. The doctor was very upfront. It should of been like that from the beginning- from step one. My only complaint with the doctor is he didn’t take any fat from my upper back when it was supposed to be a Lipo 360.
I too have had smart lipo it does not work!! My doctor swore you’d never gain weight back in that area lies. It was the most painful thing ever. Your literally wide awake while they stab you with a cannula over and over and the lidocaine that they use first burns horribly. You will look like someone beat you after. I did see results but only for a few months even with eating healthy and exercise. The fat definitely comes back and then your left with not only that but puncture wounds and weird areas of uneven skin. Pay the extra 3000 and get a tummy tuck if anything!!

Smart Lipo is a no for me

Just an update. I still look the same. My stomach area where they botched really didn’t get fixed. I look uneven. My final conclusion leads me to say that I would not recommend smart lipo. The money is so not worth it. At least not for me.

Sorry y’all. I didn’t realize I already updated you guys.
Where did you get your lipo done?
Takes 6 months to a year for final results. How long has it been?
Nevermind I see it's been a year
Your photo 2 weeks post op certainly doesn’t look like you would have hoped. It’s awful when you spend so much money and then go through the inconvenience and pain and end up not much different to how you were before. The trouble is that there are people out there who just should not be doing it. It is an art. If they are not sculpting artists they need to leave people alone. It isn’t right and it isn’t fair to people.
My sentiments exactly

Going for BBL- Smart Lipo? Not so smart for me

Hey y’all. So I’m like a year or so post op. I would recommend smart lipo. It wasn’t worth it for me. The cost was ridiculous for what I got. I was botched to say the least.
Went back for a revision at no cost and I still look the same. It looked good at first when I finished but once I was fully healed I see that I look just about the same.
I’m going for a BBL next week so I’ll let you folks know how it goes if you’re interested.

Why would you say it was botched? My pictures? Sorry it is not turn out as you had hoped.
Because my stomach was left uneven and bumpy even after revision
Please keep me posted.
Will do
