Smart Lipo Journey

I’m going in for my smart lipo tomorrow morning. I’m so nervous and anxious. I’m 5’7 and weigh 144. I had two c-sections with my two sons. There is some loose skin and stretch marks from my last pregnancy, so I’m wondering how that will look. I’m getting my upper and lower abdomen and flanks done. I’m also going to Mexico in one month so I’m hoping to see some nice results by then hopefully. I’ll keep you guys posted.

Hey guys. So today is day one post my smart lipo procedure.

Yesterday before the procedure they had me take a few pills to help me relax, pain medicine and an antibiotic. They also gave me a shot in the bum to help prevent nausea (it stung). They kept me in the room for 45 minutes and waited for the meds to kick in. Once they did, they sent me to the bathroom one more time before I started. By then I was loopy from the meds. Then they took me into the op room where they gave me a few shots of the anesthesia. I don’t remember how those felt because the meds had me in a different world. I drifted in and out of sleep but when I was awake I could feel a lot of pressure, which was extremely uncomfortable for me. When I was done I don’t remember much. All I remember is that they put the compression garment on me and let me rest a little with a blanket because I was so cold. When I got home I was in a lot of pain. I had a lot of blood tinged drainage and when I went to change my maxi pads I thought I was going to pass out. I threw up about two times, and called the doctor who prescribed me medicine to prevent nausea. After I took that medicine I didn’t throw up at all. So for the first night I pretty much slept. Ate some noodle soup, drank water, and took my meds, and that’s it. I probably peed like once or twice, but defiantly had a lot of discomfort and stinging.
The next day - no more drainage but my garmet was covered in blood. On top of that I just got my period. No vomiting. Pain feels a little better, pain meds are definitely helping. I’m just feel really sore. I am able to walk today so that’s good. I feel the same I felt after my c-section. That’s the best way to describe the pain. I’m a little uncomfortable having to take my garment on and off to change due to my period, but it’s not that bad. Luckily my husband keeps helping me zipper it back up, because I was having a hard time doing it on my own.

As far as my results, my stomach did appear flat yesterday (but not completely)- but the doc said swelling will increase between tomorrow and the next few weeks, but should go down by 70% by week 4 (my trip to Mexico). Right now there’s a weird deep indent in my stomach. Im not sure if that’s due to loose skin or the pads I had in yesterday. So far, that’s the only thing I’m displeased with, but I know only time will tell what will happen with that. I’ll try to post pictures one week post op.

So today made officially one week since I had the procedure done. I am still a bit sore but not uncomfortable. I have resumed my normal activities, and I am hoping to start going to the gym again next week. I stil wear my compression garment all day everyday and only take it off to shower. I have been giving myself massages but will be getting a velashape massage when I am three weeks post op. It is still too early to say if I am satisfied with my results as there is swelling. I am somewhat concerned about what appears to look like I’ve been slashed near my belly button. It was worse before, when I was two days post op, so I am hoping as I heal it will subside, because I would hate to have to do a revision. Really don’t wanna go through the procedure again. Anyways I will update when I am two weeks post OP.
