Day 5 post surgery

Had my follow up appt today to remove my stitches and to see how the healing is progressing. Doc said I’m healing nicely and can already see my new shape forming although I’m still swollen.
Had a quick scare when Doc thought I was developing fluid in my chin. He put in a drain to see if anything would come out but luckily it was a false alarm. My chin is just really swollen.
First day back at work was horrible. My chair isn’t really comfy and I was miserable. Had to leave an hour early. My body aches so bad. When I got home I showered and put on a body shaper that holds me in better than the wrap and I felt so much better. My next appt is in two wks and we’ll be taking progressive photos.

Day 3 and 4 post op

The night of day 3 was hard. Agitated about the pain and the swelling in my lower back. It feels like a fire burning. The head-binder is trying to annoy me. Can’t wit o take it off. I was told I can remove it on Tuesday morning. Although some say to still sleep with it on for a few wks which I plan on doing. Took to extra strength Tylenol before bed but had a hard time falling asleep.

Morning of day 4 much better. I can already feel the difference of the pain level. Much easier to get out of and into bed. Will remove the garment for my shower this afternoon to see how I look.

My post op appt is tomorrow morning. My stitches will be removed. One stitch under the chin, one on each side of my bikini line, one on each side of my butt cheeks. Dr. Sterry made the incisions as discrete as possible. I’ve seen people whose incisions are on the side by the bra strap or rib. Hoping for a better day today since last night was hard.

2 and 3 days post surgery

Super swollen especially in my lower back (horrible pain there), around my lower belly and pelvic area. Also very bruised. I dont know how some people come out of surgery with zero bruising. I’m also pretty sore around the ribs. Although it kk hurts my flesh is numb to the touch. Feels like when you grab your foot when it falls asleep and you feel the needles but 100 times worse. I stopped taking the Percocet because once I’m out of bed I can get around just fine. Taking arnica tablets and bromelain but not sure if it’s working as I’m very swollen and bruised.

As for my chin, I can definitely see less of the double chin but it’s sore to the touch and swollen and I have a bruise behind each earlobe and on each side of my neck.
