Added chin definition

WORTH IT$900
I decided to add a little chin definition to help further improve my chin/jawline area. In October 15 I had 2 syringes of juvederm in the nl area, plus a little on my jawline & marionette lines. Today, my doc added 2 more syringes to my jawline to help it look stronger.

I'm happy with the results & think this is probably the last filler (ok maybe a little maintenance) I will do before an eventual facelift at about the 50 year mark. I will post a head-on photo in a couple of days.

All total-I've had 6 syringes if juvederm since October 2015: 2 voluma in cheeks, 4 juvederm ultra in lower face/jawline

I know. They can build up your jawline to camouflage the grooves that develop. It really is pretty amazing

wow, what a difference! That looks so good!

That is amazing. Would you be so kind to share the approximate cost of all of it. Also, if there is an issue and you are not happy and something needs to be corrected, do you have to pay for it or will they fix it for free or at a discount. Is there a guarantee? I hope you reply and thank you in advance. You look fab.

Thanks! I was nervous because I've never had that much filler-1 in each side-before. I was scared I would look weird. I'm really happy with the result. I think conservative use of fillers can def put off the need for a lift for a while.

Wow looks great! You started out looking very young! :-). 2 days ado I had juviderm silk to my under eye area and marionette lines. Hopefully the swelling goes down soon.

Thanks! How much swelling are you having Joann?

Sometimes juvederm can pull a bit of water into the tissues making you puffy. I don't normally look right until about the 2 week mark after I've been injected. A bit of tenderness, bruising, lumpiness seems to be pretty normal.

Thank you so much for responding Kelly, I have a bump under my right eye. Is that normal?? That side did swell even in the office dr had me ice it. Everything is making me nervous, you know reading the horror stories. The bruising is minimal--it's just that lump...

I'd wait a couple of weeks & see if it's still there. It can be dissolved if it persists & is really bothersome. I had a crescent shaped lump that hasn't completely gone away & looked like a divot. It's kind of camouflaged now with the cheek filler. Juvederm evidently is worse about attracting fluid than some of the other fillers.

It was frustrating because everything was perfect except one spot under one eye. In my case I just lived with it.

Hoping yours is just swelling & goes down quickly

i went back to dr yesterday to have him check a couple of spots that are slightly uneven. He reassured me that I actually have a little swelling still & things have not fully settled. We may add a dab to the apple of my left cheek in a few weeks if the unevenness persists, but it looks pretty good. I think the result head-on is very nice & looks natural to me.

Wow that us amazing how ling do the shots last? How often would you need to redo that?

It's Voluma, a thicker version of Juvederm is supposed to last about 2 years. Regular fillers last about half that long.

You look great! Wow like a facelift. How much did the voluma cost for 2 syringes?
User Avatar

It's going to run you between $800-1000 per syringe. It's pricey, but it lasts twice as long as the regular stuff.
