WORTH IT$4,600
I hit my highest weight of 182.8 lbs and was miserable and depressed. I decided to get sleeved in TJ Mexico. I was put on a preop diet for 3 days and went down to 173.4 on the day of surgery.
I am 1 week post op and am down to 167.4.
The post op diet isn’t great but it’s bearable.
So far I am happy!

Ok so I am eating everything I ate before surgery just much much smaller portions. I still have a hard time getting all my fluids in. I’m not sure I’ve ever actually hit the goal. The only ting I haven’t had is alcohol or carbonated drinks. I can drink from a straw, drink coffee and chew gum. All which I was told by other people they couldn’t do after surgery. I guess it all depends on the person. I almost always get light headed and woozy when I take a hot shower and wash my hair. But I’m always fine when I go in my hot tub. I was told it was due to not getting enough fluids so I’ve been trying hard to drink more. I also went through a spell of very low energy where I barely wanted to get out of bed. It’s better since I’ve been eating more regular food but I’ve also added an iron pill to my vitamins which could be helping too.
The only person who knows I’ve had the surgery is still just my husband. He now wants to get it done too!
My scars are still very visible but I don’t wear two piece bathing suits so it doesn’t matter so much to me.
My stats for 8 weeks are as follows:
Highest: Now:
Weight 182.8. 151.0
Neck 14. 12.75
Shoulders 44. 40.5
Bust 42. 38
Waist 38.5. 33
Stomach 44. 38
Butt 42. 38.5
Thigh 22. 20.5
Total weight loss = 31.8lbs
Total inches lost = 25.25

What a difference. I have lost a total of 36lbs and I have lost 31.5 inches overall. I am fitting nicely into a size FOUR! I am still having a hard time getting in my daily water intake but I am doing better. I am eating everything and everything just much less of it. I do try to eat more soft foods and less carbs to help because I have not been exercising at all. Now that the nice weather is here I am going to start walking and biking so hopefully I can pick p the weight loss. I track everything in an app and it keeps pushing back my final weight goal. I am now losing at a rate of less than a pound a week so it says I will it my final goal sometime in September. My plan is to make that happen by August!
I am starting to stress a lot less about hair loss too since it typically happens about 3 months post op. I figure another few weeks and I should be in the clear. I’ve noticed slight thinning but no one else has so that is good. My husband is still the only one who knows I had the surgery.
I am keeping close tabs on my journey so other people can see the changes on someone starting with a lower bmi. I haven’t posted any pictures because I wold like to stay anonymous but attached is a photo of my stats this far.

Hi, I’m a 30 BMI and hoping to have VSG shortly. Thanks so much for sharing your journey! So encouraging! (If you ever feel comfortable posting B&A pics from the neck down in clothing, I’d love to see your progress!)

Hey, I’m scheduled for surgery in a week. Low bmi of 30. I’m just worried if I’m going to lose too much. How’s it going for you?
