Dr. Wilhelmy and his team are AMAZING! They gave me me life back! I had my surgery in December of 2017 and within
6 months lost 70lbs. I was soooooo nervous to do surgery in Mexico but I did not qualify in the United States.... And to be honest I am thankful I did not. When I compare my weight loss to my friends who have had the same procedure I feel lucky I went to Dr. Wilhelmy’s location.
From the moment of contact with Nina answering any question I had, the shuttle service, the speed of getting all of the test ran, the hotel accommodations, and then the surgery!
Dr. Wilhelmy came and talked to me before the surgery and met with me every day after (three days total). He was kind and thorough with all my questions.
In the US it is typically an out patient surgery... I can not even image going home the same day as the surgery..... and leak test having no leak test.... none of my friends in the US had leak test to check their stomachs had sealed fully..... SCARY! I was checked a total of three times and the last time was under an x-ray..... they are very thorough!
I often get asked would you do it again? “Yes, in a heart beat! It is the best decision I have ever made other than marrying my husband.”
I got my life back. I found confidence that had long been replaced with shame and hiding. My only regret is that I did not so it sooner.
I have recommended several of my friends and will continue.
