Hello everyone! Here is an update

I’m about 7 weeks out from my Weight loss surgery and I’m down a total of 33lbs. That is from my highest weight of 205.
So far the gastric sleeve has been super easy. I’ve not experienced any gas, nausea, throwing up or any other adverse effect from surgery.
I do have to make sure I eat small bites and wait a minute between bites which I find the most difficult as my family eats very fast.
Fortunately or unfortunately I am able to eat almost anything - bread, salad, sweets (but not too much otherwise I get a sugar hangover) pizza etc. which means I have to be super careful of my calories and carb intake
I haven’t begun exercising as of yet. But I really need to, simply because I want to create a habit.
My husband is amazed by the changes my body has already taken.

Day 6 post op

So I’ve had quite of bit of energy. At first I thought it was in my head. But another person said the same thing in a Wls group I’m in on Facebook.
Crazy! I am so blessed though, hardly any gas or pain. Incision sites are healing nicely. I’m already down 15 lbs since my highest weight (prior to starting the high protein diet) and 8lbs down after surgery.
I’m able to breath deeper now which is good. My lungs had a lot of phlegm after surgery.
I’ve started taking my vitamins. Which has gone well too.

Day 4 Post Op

Feeling fairly strong today. Woke up and was able to get out of bed with less discomfort. Back is still a little sore and of course my incisions.
Yesterday I hung up clothes and started a load of laundry. My daughter finished it. I didn’t want to bump my incisions on the machines.

Working from one today so it would be fairly relaxed.
I have been making sure I stay hydrated. Drinking 2oz every 30 mins. I bought some bariatric drinks off amazon. They have protein which will help keep my energy up.
I have antibiotics for two more days and blood thinners for another four.
