Hi Guys!
So sorry I've been so MIA! Its been a journey that i have been enjoying every second of!
SW; 138.9
CW; 96.1
Total Loss; 42.8kg
I have officially gotten over the 40kg weight loss goal, meaning i only have just over 20kg to go until i reach my recommended weight of 75kg!
I cant believe how much this surgery has changed me as a person, not only have i dropped 42.8kg's and my mobility, joint/back pain and other physical problems have all improved! But mentally i feel like i new person! I have never been so confident, happy and strong! I feel sexy for the first time ever and that in itself is such an amazing feeling. Feeling like you can be/do anything you want is such an empowering feeling and i hope everyone reading this gets to feel that one day!
I can still only eat small amounts of food, mainly prioritising protein which has stopped my hair from falling out so much, my favourite thing to eat right now is turkey mince! There are so many recipes you can use turkey mince for believe it or not... which keeps the food interesting!
My water intake is still slack, i can always do better! But i know for a fact its way better than it used to be which is an excellent achievement, i just know it could still improve!
I've completely cut out soft drink from my life, i find that it doesn't go down nicely anymore, after drinking it i feel bloated and uncomfortable and its not a feeling i enjoy, so why put myself through it?! If i feel like something sweet to drink, I protein waters, which is basically a mixture that you add into water. They have plenty of flavours, my favourite is blackcurrant! They're not fizzy, its more of a juice type of vibe - but they're sooo good and it also adds to the protein intake for the day which is always a bonus!
Exercise is still not where i want to be! I've been super slack over the past couple of months! With everything going on with Covid and gyms being closed, i kinda lost my routine! Also its winter here in Australia and the last thing i want to do is get up to exercise on a cold dark morning! I know its no excuse! And my goal for this week is to get my ass back into the gym and get some consistent movement going!!
But apart from that, I've just been enjoying this whole process of being this better version of myself!
I hope everyone is doing well and getting through these challenging times! Wishing you all so much love and happiness!! ??????

Before & Afters - 6 Weeks
Hi All,
Hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and NYE!
I was sent a message the other day asking how i was and if i had any more before and afters so i thought id share with everyone!
I am now 6 weeks post op and have never felt so good!!
I have rejoined the gym and will be going to personal training with a lady who specialises in Bariatric surgery. Her aim is to slowly build my strength up and start toning my body as the weight drops.
I have been walking everyday for about 45 minutes, i don't live far from the beach and there is an esplanade walk there which is so beautiful. It makes walking easier when there is a view to look at rather that being on a treadmill and staring at a wall for 45 minutes!!
I also rejoined Weight Watchers with my mum. Mostly to motivate her and give her support, but i also feel it will be a good way to keep myself accountable and help educate myself about food again. I have told everyone in my class that i have had gastric sleeve surgery so everyone is aware of my situation so no body thinks i'm cheating or anything like that... but they're all super supportive and a few people had some questions about it which i'm always happy to share.
Food/Water intake is going well also, been sticking to the same old foods which have been working for me and the water is still going good!! I swear, the gadget i mentioned in my last post that flashes when to drink, has honestly been a god sent!
I see my surgeon for the first time since surgery tomorrow, so i will be getting some more blood work done to make sure i'm on track vitamin wise! Looking forward to seeing the progress
Update with weight loss coming soon :)

Awww thanks soo much Sophie, I really hope it is! I, ll keep you all posted through my reveiws!!!!
Please do, exited to see how you're doing! :) xx
Sophie! Thank you for sharing your progress!! I too am VERY nervous about the throw up part (I read this in your first post). I am curious... have you still been all clear from vomit? It seems silly but I have a phobia too.
Thank you so much!! Appreciate the support :)
I'm still clear of the vomit!! I've been really mindful of my limits, making sure i don't get to the point where i need to throw up! The only time i felt sick was the first time i ate something in hospital (it was a green pea soup and it still makes me feel sick just thinking about it!!) and also a few days ago where i ate too quickly and i had to walk around to try and get everything going down instead of up! I find if i eat slow, take breaks and sit up straight, everything goes down the way its supposed too.
I hope its the same for you too! When do you go in for your surgery?

Loved reading through your posts, I'm around the same age and a lot of people think it's too big of a decision to make so young.. but it's never too early to take control your life! You're looking great girl, keep it up!

Before & After Photos - 3 Weeks In!
Here are some progress pictures! The before picture was taken 1 week before my surgery, the after picture was taken a couple of days ago. Its crazy when comparing photos side by side like that, it really does make you realise how far you've come!
Just a quick food update; I've started to introduce some solid foods back into my diet, making sure all my choices are either high in protein or are fairly healthy. My favourite thing to eat right now is carrot/swede mash & chicken (small bits and chewed well). I can officially start eating food again from Friday 27th onward, which i'm exited for but also a little nervous, i find that sometimes i can scoff down food too fast and end up feeling a little sick after it, so i really need to retrain myself to take my time and know my limits.
Water intake has actually been really good and i'm super proud of myself for it, i found a little gadget which i put on my water bottle and it flashes every time it wants you to take a sip. I've been smashing out my 2L's ever since i got it! Even the little things like changing my phone wallpaper to 'Drink Water' has also helped too!
I have been weighing myself weekly and have found that I've been stuck at the same weight for a couple of weeks now which is strange because all my clothes are literally falling off me! Maybe i'm losing inches and not so much weight?? or maybe i need to start upping my exercise and make it more of a routine rather than 'when i have time'.
I'm going to be buying a couple of new outfits when the boxing day sales hit. All of my clothes just look ridiculous on me now! Nothing fits right or they all just hang off me and make me look bigger than what i actually am! So i'm looking forward to some smaller outfits.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy & Healthy New Year!
