64-year-old trying to lose weight for many years

Twenty-seven pounds to go for normal BMI! Can't believe what a blessing this has been. Life is so much better. My senior years are going to be much better than they would've been without the surgery. I've gone from a size 2X to medium. Put myself in the poor house buying new summer and now winter clothes. Compliments galore on how I look! I've been told I look 15 years younger. Feel 20 years younger! I was at the chiropractor's office the other day sitting in the waiting room. A man walked out and said, "Don't you look pretty sitting there!" I sensed he is the type who flirts every chance he gets but he made me feel good. I think the ad for the bariatric surgeon's office was meant to come up on the hospital web page when it did. Otherwise I wouldn't be where I am today.

Had my sleeve done Monday 3-6. When they got me up to move into my bed I thought "What have I done?" First day/night was rough with getting in and out of bed to use the bathroom. Home today and feeling much better. Still quite a bit of soreness on the left side but know it will get better every day. Don't feel like eating at all but know I have to. Taking it one day at a time and know in a few weeks I will be able to eat regular foods. Received great care from doctors, nurses, and nurse assistants.

Surgery is Monday, March 6th. I am terribly constipated and hemorrhoids are raging. I have to get this in check before Monday. I can't go to surgery already having problems. So much I wanted to get done this weekend and I feel awful.
