I had 2 things that always bothered me - my nose and my Loooong upper flat lip. I got my nose tweaked in 2015 with satisfactory results, but nobody in my city really does a lip lift. So I looked and researched for really, several months before deciding on Dr. Turowski. Since the procedure is done under local and takes less than an hour I figured I could fly into Chicago via southwest for cheap, stay the night, get the procedure and be back home in less than 24. And that is what I did. I will tell you - from what the result looks like directly after it's done, to what it looks like on day 1, day 2, and day 3 etc are completely different. I freaked out on day 2 and 3 and probably 4 because my nose swelled up as well as my lips and I was very worried. By day 5 & 6 I could begin to see the actual result and I was very pleased. I'm still less than a week in, but I will post pictures of my journey.

I'm curious as to why you gave your doctor 1 star as opposed to a high rating if you are happy with your results.

Typically you would go back in 5 days and Dr. T or one of the nurses would remove the stitches. Since I was an out of town patient he only used 5 stitches that would need to be removed and the rest he used dissolvable. He likes using real sutures because they cause less inflammation under the skin and are better for not leaving scars.
I am lucky because my father in law is also a surgeon and was able to easily remove the 5 stiches for me. I am planning to update with some pics today.

I can tell you it is exactly a half inch from the bottom of my nose and the top of my lip now. It was probably close to twice that before but I'm not exactly sure the length. Trying to post some pics now

Sounds like the length of your lip is what some PS consider the ideal length for female about 11-12 mm.

Thank you for updating your review and posting photos. Your results are amazing and similar to the results of another patient of Dr. T. I had a deviated septum and Dr. Dayan did a wonderful job on my nose. However, I've noticed that I have too much distance between my nose and upper lip just as you described. I've been researching lip lifts for months and was prepared to fly across the county like you did, but now I'm sold and scheduling a consult soon. When did you venture out in public or return to work after the procedure? You can tell from your stitches and photos that your scar won't be noticeable. congratulations!

I ventured out five days after word after my stitches came out. By the six that day I was pretty much good to go but I took about 10 days off of work to be safe.

I think I measured at one point but I don't remember. It covered my top teeth and then some.

Thank you! Having someone alter your face is always scary. You definitely don't want to be anyone's 1st or 2nd time and Dr T has done a ton of these. I'm glad I did it and I had a nice one night stay in Chicago with a friend.

My nose still has some lingering numbness from the procedure, although it's feeling much more normal and comfortable now. I had dissolvable sutures which cause more inflammation and take longer to heal than regular sutures. I explained in my earlier post the need to use dissolvable sutures because I couldn't return for a follow-up.
It is remarkable the difference this procedure has made in my appearance and self confidence. I am VERY happy with my outcome.

I also need to note that my scar is barely there. No one at my job has noticed or remarked that I had anything done, although several people have lamented that I look too young for my age. It has really taken 10 years off my appearance.

Unfortunately I did not measure before hand, but I believe it was a quarter inch possibly slightly more longer than what it is now. Right now it is precisely 1/2 inch
