This is to review:

- Alto Advanced Serum
- AlphaRet
- Eventone
- Tech Neck
- Trio Moisturizer
- Refresh Moisturizer
I have used the Alto Advanced Serum this summer, it would make my skin look brighter and to be honest I was able to hike in direct sun with no SPF and zero burn, however I am in the sun a lot, so my skin is used to it-I did notice some random bumps but just dealt with them, however something switched in my skin, and it decided to HATE SkinBetter Science skincare. I started getting cystic acne from using the products, I'm talking my skin was angry.
I went to the esthetician office and asked for their help, and I was told to only use the Cleansing Gel and then Trio, nothing else until my skin calmed down.It did a little but the remaining bump type things would not leave. They were like milia but not, they were deeply rooted seed like things that were painful, yet flesh tone yet would get big.
I just got back from a 2-week trip to Texas where I only used the SkinBetter line, and I discovered that if I only washed my face and used nothing after my face was happy, dry feeling but happy, so I started wondering if there was something in the line that does not agree with my skin. Once I got back home I decided to use the La Mer products and guess what...the bumps have stopped and my skin is actually happy. I did want to add that I have been pushed forever to use a retinol but I am one that I for sure cannot use one, and to be honest I don't want to have dry skin in areas or peel, and be told that I need to exfoliate more and use certain lotions to counteract using a retinol, no. We all have different skin types so perhaps some people really can't use retinol, why should it be forced on us all?
I think "medical grade" makes people think they will be superior and preform like no other products can but I disagree. I think all the offices that show before and after’s 1). Obtain people who never have taken care of their skin, so if you have a 45-year-old that only has used Dove bar on her face and has melasma, I am sure the products will make a difference and 2). People who get lasers treatments, peels, Botox, fillers etc. will have good skin so even using Neutrogena would work...all the heavy lifting is already done with very expensive and proven treatments you just need something to hydrate and possibly add in some antioxidants to keep it going.
I will never use medical grade products again, as I have had same results with ZO, Alastin and SkinMedica, truly overly expensive and over hyped products.
