Getting there :-)
It's been about 2 months since I started using Hadar as I wanted to get lighter skin complexion.
Well, it's been an expensive journey but so far well worth it as you can see from my photo's :) Plus I have been away on holiday in a very hot country, I did avoid the sun like it was going to kill me because I couldn't afford to get tanned. That didn't go down too well with my friends who worship the sun.
I am on my 2nd jar. The 1st jar I used morning and night everyday. I noticed my skin texture change within a matter of days. My skin was softer and shinier. Normally I use Skinmedica acne set on my face as I have problem skin, but i stopped everything else for now to focus on changing my skin colour. I use a foam wash for my face & a product called Organic Source body wash which you can get from any drugstore here in London, the lemon option is my favourite. And then I use hadar milk for my face and body, I wait about 5 minutes before putting clothes on as I just feel like the oils need to penetrate, might be dumb but...
The surprise factor was I didn't get breakouts as I usually do considering how Makari caused heavy breakouts for me in the past. I started to notice my skin colour getting lighter and brighter after about 10days of constant use. I was skyping the family in Nigeria and my dad embarrassed me by saying "You are much lighter, the weather over there must be so good for your skin", ouch, I just mumbled yes and moved on. But that was a good sign. I continued with the process, a good scrub - I use Claudalie as I love the smell. Certain areas are more difficult to lighten, for me it was my elbow. I contacted the Lady in Lagos and she told me stop using the product everyday and concentrate only on my elbows. I did for 2 days, noticed a little bit of difference and went back to using on my entire body. Her explanation made sense but I'm not a very patient person when I want results. She said concentrating on problem areas will make the lightening more uniform.
I'm going to order another one but apparently it cost $60 to ship to London, I'm hoping I find someone who is coming in from Lagos to buy me a jar and bring it in.
I am nearly where I want to be skin colour wise, so my 3rd jar of HADAR should last me longer as I dont intend to use it everyday, Now I use it only at night, while using shea butter and basic moisturiser during the day. I like the fact that I have control over my skin with this product. It's so tempting to keep going with the lightening, but my friends think my colour is just right as it is now.
I agree, but you know us girls :) I go out without makeup for errands, you can still see the damage from past pimples, but i dont care, my skin looks and feels great.

So I've been wanting lighter skin but was very sceptical about using mixes of tubes from african stores which some friends have used with mixed results. So I've tried peels, and finally settled for the full set (scrub, gel, wash, and cream) of MD formulations (not a great lightener, but smooth supple skin guaranteed), until last year I went home - Nigeria for the holidays and discovered that skin lightening was achieved with some amazing results. I found a product called HADAR, well, i didn't find it, it was recommended by a couple of old gal pals, it's been a dream. I have included a photo of my friend who had like gabriel union skin tone, but now looks lighter then rihanna. I have started my journey, not to change that much though, just to lighten up 2 shades. A 200ml or is it 250ml jar of hadar for face & body set me back £200, yup, not cheap but it'll last me a while as they say dont use everyday if you dont want drastic changes...i'm more slow & steady. Or use everyday for the 1st week, then adjust accordingly. My girl uses it twice a day, morning and night.
Super excited, back in London and ready for some change.
