Skin Damaged from Microneedling

I have been struggling for months. My skin was fine honestly. I received 4 free microneedling treatments from what I thought was some one extremely distinguished in the arena. I represent my state as a beauty queen and promoted a business I trusted with my face. I model and make money from it . Well use to. I have stayed in my house other than for work for about 6 months . I don’t wear makeup I have no social life now . I started noticing issues about a week after or so from the 4 th treatment. I called expressed my concerns was told they’d look at it. Problems started to get worse. They told me looked like I was allergic to something I was taking possibly. I stopped taking vitamins bc I thought that was the issue. I change detergent shampoo hair products and still my face was getting worse. I said I thought it could be related to microneedling and was shut down immediately saying no it wouldn’t have been that. Fast forward a few month and 2 trip to a dermatologist and was told I may have rosacea. Then was told a compromised skin barrier. The place that did this will not see me will not treat me any further at all.. it’s devastating to have your skin messed up and then be told to find another place to be treated bc you messed up my skin. I’m beside myself with self confidence issues and my life hasn’t been the same. The first photo was no makeup 3 days before that treatment that messed up my skin the rest are the afters

Oh dear, please learn this lesson well: if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Meaning nothing is free. So sorry you went through this.

I had 4 total treatments the first 3 were done about 4 to 6 weeks apart and the fourth was done 4 months later. The fourth was the one that ruined my skin. I had been getting facials and Botox from this place for about 2 years and since we became friends and I model I helped promote the business on my social media as I gave a good amount of followers and do a lot of promotional modeling for other beauty salons like hair and makeup artist. When I began the journey completing in pageants they sponsored me in treatments to prepare for the pageant . I’ll try and upload a before

I have the same issue! I had microneedling done 1/18/19 and ruined my skin. My pores look bigger and I have trace marks all over face it's very depressing your not alone. There's a group of women on this website with the same issue. I use msm cream to calm down the redness. Also use a gentle cleanser cetaphil or ZO skin health gentle cleanser.

Hi ladies, I’m an esthetician and have performed hundreds of microneedling tx’s. Even performed microneedling with radio frequency. I had a client ONLY 1 client have a reaction where she broke out in pustules and fine rash like bumps. It lasted her approx 10-14 days. (I numb my clients before these procedures.) This lady was my 2nd client for microneedling. I figured out what the ONLY problem could have been. I cleansed her skin only once from the numbing, before proceeding to microneedle. I found that there was residual numbing agent remaining on the skin and when microneedling, it forced the numbing agent deeper. Needless to say, we are all human. We all make mistakes. However, I do try learning from mine. I had my client come every few days. I extracted the pustules, leansed her skin gently and added Hyaluronic Acid after each cleansing. She cleared up and her skin is beautiful after 4 microneedling tx’s. I haven’t had it happen since.
I’m not sure what happened to you ladies, but there should be NO track marks after the procedure or bumpy skin months after!!! Like I said, I’ve done hundreds of these procedures and haven’t had a complaint! This is a wonderful tx! I’m so sorry you are going through this!!
Also let me add, I do not recommend Cetaphil or any other type of drug store cleansers. If you are going to put money into your skin, in our spas, be sure to keep up the professionalism at home, with medical grade cleansers, serums, moisturizers and sunscreens. It pays to be proactive. I will leave this for those of you who believe everything a Derm recommends product wise, that is. When a client has been told it's good from a Dermatologist, they often won't believe me if I tell them its not. So I've developed a strategy which works like magic. This is exactly what I say to my clients:

Dermatologists specialize in diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. Usually, the only training they have in skin care products is from the reps who are invested in selling their product. If you want to understand why I don't recommend Cetaphil, then do a simple Google search "Cetaphil bad for your skin" and educate yourself.

Mine is healing somewhat after getting consistent red light therapy and blue light therapy daily for 20 min red 10 min blue . I mean in 4 days the inflammation has calmed a lot. I use vani cream gentle cleaner daily and 2 times a week I use life line skin care brightening, daily moisture and tns ceramide cream Every other day. It’s taking a while but is working. I have read case studies of going on an antibiotic and steroids has anyone had luck ? We think mine is a foreign body Granuloma possibly

I was unable to upload my before picture bc I kept saying it was to big yet it was the same as the others so the first photo is NOT my before photo . And it keeps saying my update is to short .. so I am continuing to have trouble with this feature.
