5 years post mommy makeover
Where does the time go. Seriously feels like yesterday but this is my 5 year update. I'm now 61 years old and living my best life every single day. I ended up being sleeved in Jan 2023 because I needed help managing my weight. On the morning of my MM I was 230 lbs...today I'm 170. My doctor has retired but he would be super proud of me. My results have held up very well thru the weight loss. My weight seems to have settled here and I'm great with it. I never cared to be skinny just healthy. Just wanted to stop by and show results and what scars look like 5 years later. I did have necrosis on my left breast with no scar revision....I have considered scar tattoo correction. I had a consultation for thigh lift a few months ago but have decided with my Dr that my results would not correct everything that I would want so my plastics journey is over for now. No regrets....just pure joy and living my best life
3 1/2 years later
For my 60th birthday I did a boudoir photo shoot to celebrate the milestone. The other day I revisited my mommy makeover journey and decided to do a quick update. I have ZERO regrets....I would do it again a thousand times. I am still under my day of surgery weight but it continues to be a struggle. I still go to my in person weight watchers class but find myself allowing for some grace. I have thought about getting sleeved but at this point I'm continuing to accept my body as it is and keep fighting the fight through proper nutrition and the gym.
Consultation 2 years ago
So October 2018 I went for my second consultation for mommy makeover after being told to lose another 50 pounds at the first one, being repeatedly told that I was too obese to be moved around in his back room surgical center as there was only him and his nurse...I had already lost so much weight but now it was coming off slower....fast forward a week when I went to see Dr Zollman in indianapolis.....I explained my story to one of his assistants and she asked for me to pick out a pic from one of the books....all the women were so young and had such beautiful bodies...I quickly chose one expecting that I would be turned away anyway. In walks my knight in shining armour....I was so guarded in that moment when he walked in and smiled a huge smile and said "what a great way to start my day, with a beautiful blonde" he certainly had my attention...as you know, not only was I not turned away I was embraced....last night I came across that wish pic from that consultation.....I'm posting my before....my wish....and my result.....miracles do come true
