Hello ladies! I'm scheduled to have a BA and TT in April. I'm not nervous yet, but very excited to feel like myself again. I ended up with a ton of stretch marks and very deflated breast after having both of my girls. What supplies has everyone found most helpful in recovery and which ones were not needed? Just trying to stay a head of the game. Looking forward to everyone's answers!

Hey you look great, I was similar size but way older. You are smart to do this now rather then wait. Best wishes, I’ve loved my results.

Thank you! I'm grateful I was able to do this now. Now just 18 more days until I can get back in the swing of things :)

2 months until surgery!

It is two months until the big day and my pre op is April 2nd. Now comes one of the hardest parts. As of tomorrow morning I will no longer be a smoker. It is a horrid habit I've had for 13 years. I quit with both pregnancies, but started again as soon as I was done breastfeeding both girls. I regret that I started again both times, but I'm actually happy to say that I will no longer have this habit. I've tried to quit several times over the last year and had every excuse to start again. This time I am ready! I think I really needed to share it to make it feel real. This is the first time I've quit that I don't immediately feel anxious or overwhelmed. I'm excited for a new me and want the best recovery possible. Sorry for rambling on about it!

A little about myself and before pic

Thought I would share a little about myself. I'm married with two beautiful girls, ages 9 and 2. I'll be thirty years old in eleven days. Im 5'9" and I weigh 165 pounds as of today. I recently quit smoking and I'm just trying not to put a bunch of pounds back on which is proving a little difficult.... Like many other woman, I lost all the volume in my breasts after breast feeding both of my girls and I ended up with stretch marks that start just above my belly button and go all the way down my thighs to the backs of my knees. I gained about 50 pounds with my first kid and then lost it, plus some extra. With my second, I was in better shape, ate better, and I moved much more, but I still gained 62 pounds with my second kid. I have 5 pounds to go before I'm back to pre pregnancy weight!
I've never had large breasts other than when I was pregnant, but I've dreamed of having breasts that fit my frame since I was 16. I've always been a 36-38B depending on brand of bras. And now I can't even fill out a B cup. I'm hoping to be a D/DD after surgery.
My pre op appointment is April 2nd and surgery is April 25th! I met with my PS in December last year and absolutely loved her! She actually trained with the PS who I was originally going to have surgery with last year. I had met with that PS in Feb 2017 and I still had 20-25 pounds to lose and I was told to call about a month before I wanted to have the surgery done to schedule, but when i called I was informed that the surgeon was moving and would not be scheduling any more surgeries. So the hunt began again... I met with one other surgeon and just wasn't completely comfortable. So far, I'm very happy with the surgeon I chose as she is very informative and honest and cares about what will happen long term.

That is great! What is your cup size now if you don't mind me asking? I'm currently a 38 B, but I have a lot of cup gapping. Im hoping for a D or DD!

Its okay, my B's are very sad as well! Here's to making it out of the itty bitty [RS bleep] club soon!
2. Neck pillow. Never ever used it on a flight but with sleeping in a recliner it was needed to keep my neck from getting in a knot!
3. I did NOT need a toilet seat lift, but my house has high profile toilets to begin with, if yours is low, you really might need that.
4. I did not have a walker but it would have really helped the first week when you have to walk bent over. Your back can get spasms (mine definitely did) and the walker would have made getting up and walking much easier...and you need to be up walking to prevent clots.
5. Start GOOD quality vitamins NOW and keep them up (I use ortho molecular's Alpha Base Vitamins because they are bio-available so your body actually absorbs and uses them). I also went for a lymphatic massage 5 days pre-surgery, and I researched and stuck to an inflammation reduction diet (focused on getting all the inflammation out of my body so I could heal fast. I started this more than a month out from my surgery). All my bruising is gone in less than two weeks post surgery, I have had NOTHING in one of my drains and the other one only minimal since immediately post surgery. I also kept to low inflammation foods post surgery and drink lemon water by the gallons! But other than surgical sites, I have minimal swelling.
6. Practice how you can clean your butt without wrapping around to the back! Or prepare your husband! LOL! Most humiliating part of the surgery!!!
7. I wound up needing Milk of Magnesia post surgery (most everyone needs a little help post surgery) to start going poo, but after I went once, my body kicked back in like a champ.
8. My PS doesn't allow showers until drains are completely gone, so I didn't need the shower chair, but if you are allowed to shower in the first week, you may really want to rent one. Just trying to do my sponge baths had me woozy. My bf had to take over and help me get finished up and back in my compression garment. It is a CHORE.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
I purchased some Colace to start a few days before surgery, but I've never been regular so I always have milk of magnesia on hand! I'll know more on Monday next week on when I'll be able to shower. That is when my pre op appointment is. Im so excited!
