Hello to all the ladies here. I want to share my journey and my personal experience.
I had one session of silicone butt injections 1200 cc in each butt cheek back in 2006. I had the silicone injections for 16yrs. I started having health issues in 2021 as time progressed my health started to decline. Lower back pain. My legs felt heavy My toes will get numb, radiating pain from my waist down to my legs. I was always tired feeling fatigued, anxiety, shotness of breath. I had migration to my left side labia and lower back. Dimpleing on my butt with what look like cellulite, sagging on the bottom half. my butt would itch like hell. It was oversized and it kept getting bigger with time due to the inflammation and scar tissue. I had nodules that would hurt and I will get massages regularly to help with the pain. I was living a Nightmare. I knew I had to removal the silicone ASAP.
After intensive research for two years I decided to go with Dr.katzen he was my first and only choice for me. I wasn't scared or worried about the scar or the possibility of being botched. My concern was to save my health not my butt! . I knew he was the right doctor for me. And I am so happy that I chose him as my doctor he is incredibly highly skilled in these procedure. I'm extremely greatful for him at his staff! He made me feel comfortable instantly never judged or ashamed. He really is here to help us. His a professional and his bedside manners is like know other I've seen. Ladies do not waste your time or money with any other doctor! Hi. I'm 8 weeks post-op and I'm doing great. Far as payment, I paid some credit card through CareCredit and the rest my hubby who's amazing to me and has Ben my biggest supporter. I really do highly recommend Dr katzen and yes... he is the best here in the US or elsewher. He does accept PPO health insurance

Okay! I’m sure i will probably have to do it in several payment options! Don’t have that type or cash laying around! This surgery is necessary, the longer I wait the more Complications I have. My butt is just getting bigger and bigger!! That’s great you have the support! Thanks for your reply! Wishing you a speedy and healthy recovery! Are you going back for reconstruction?

Hello. After my consultation with doctor katzen his first available was in 3 months. I had to put down 10 % down from my quote to hold the date for surgery and the rest had to be paid 2 weeks prior to my surgery. It gave me enough time to plan and gather funds. Hope this help. I too was in so much pain and falling into depression. And my butt just kept getting bigger and more painful. Yes, I'm going to him for my reconstruction if I decide I want one. But for now I'm so happy to get my health back and adding more years to my life.

Feeling amazing! I’m able to to move around and cook for my family which I enjoy.
I still can’t bendown or sit.
I’m sleeping on my tummy still as of now.
I do turnover on my back for a few minutes, but it starts to feel uncomfortable from the pressure.
I’ve mastered on how to listen to my body and taking my time to have a successful recovery.
Hope this bit of info could answer some of your questions.

Hey! How you are feeling well? How did you decide which procedure to do? Did the doctor recommend the open incision vs close Vaser procedure or did you choose the open procedure?
August 17, 2022
Hi. I'm doing good and feeling s stronger everyday. I'm having some of suture removed tomorrow looking forward to that because I will no more discomfort from them. I didn't have the option of the close procedure due to the silicone was impregnated in my muscle and for that I need to have the open technique.

Thanks for your response, I really appreciate it! I believe I will have to get the open procedure as well!! Did you have to fly to Cali, if so how was that? Where you able to sit for that flight? I don’t mean to ask a lot of questions, just want to prepare myself whenever I do have my surgery!
August 22, 2022
No worries, I'm happy to help aneswer your questions. I flew to cali and stayed for 2 weeks. I had my preop 2 days before my surgery and I was cleared by Dr katzen to fly back home on the 12th day after my surgery. My flight was 3 hours and had to sit on the edge of my seat in 45 degree angle. It was a bit uncomfortable for me I dint sleep at all I did take my pain medication so that helped a lot. I requested to have my catheter removed and was only send home with two jp drainage. I limited my fluids intake on that day to avoid using public and plane restroom until I arrived home. I had the option to take a wheelchair to my gate, but I decided to walk there it took longer but I was fine.
August 22, 2022
Okay! That was my worry, the flying back after surgery! Thank you again!! Did you get a local surgeon to take out your jp drains and sutures?
August 23, 2022
No. My daughter who was also my caretaker throughout the recovering was able to do it with the assistance of the doctors PA on FaceTime. I still have some suture left were it's still healing and she will have to remove them as well with a FaceTime appointment with the PA. it's really no hassle you just need someone to help you who wants to do it lol or you can ask your primary doctor to remove them.
