Update: I finally got my last drain removed Friday so happy this is all over because it wasn’t easy at all. Yes my butt looks weird is flat on top but I got a little something on the bottom. Reconstruction will be in July with
Dr. G I wouldn’t go to anyone else. Overall I feel great and very blessed to have found this Doctor. I still have to drink my protein shakes daily until reconstruction and wear the garment with the pink foam for another 4-6wks.

I was just reading all the reviews and the main concern everyone has 1. Price 2. Going out of the country 3. How good your butt will look after silicone removal. I got silicone injections back in 2002 and I just had it removed with Dr. G in Aventura, Florida he's amazing and is not there to take your money consultation is $300 which is deducted if you choose him, 5k deposit to hold date, his staff is amazing they make you feel so comfortable and they are very very sweet, yes he is expensive but he is very very much experienced in doing this type of surgery and he actually removes about 95% of the silicone my fee was 19k that's including the hospital fees (15k plus 4khosp) I highly recommend him. I was really thinking of going to Colombia but going out of the country makes no sense at all in my opinion. After I did my research on Dr. G he's doing about 4-5 surgeries a week with the silicone removal he knows what he's doing, he removed 14lbs my silicone spread to my lower back and hips I stayed one night in the hospital (amazing hospital the staff was just wow) I wasn't in pain it was more discomfort then anything and being unable to sit, always on my belly, I still have the drains, my stitches come out Tuesday (can't wait) and hopefully drains too let's see. I also have to drink 80g of protein shakes daily that's besides my food, my aunt changes my dressings daily and my drains are empty out 3x a day it not easy I suggest you stay at a recovery house or if you stay air bb you cannot come by yourself you def need all the help and support you can get. Yes my butt is healing fine now I have to return for reconstruction in about 6-8months. Besides that I feel great and happy this toxic is out of my body because I was so depressed before. And if you are worry how your butt will look after removal then you're not ready everything is a process I just wanted this out the best way possible and then I will worry about the rest later so please have patience and know that your health comes first.
Please do your research before going anywhere and see before and after pics as well and ask a lot of questions. Also this procedure is NOT cover by insurance :(

Dr G is one of the best silicone removal docs anywhere! I felt no pain after surgery as well. I was just really achy and uncomfortable because you have drains, dressings, foam and the garment on. My scar has flattened and faded really well using silicone strips/Bio- oil consistently.
POST-OP CONS: laying on your tummy all day, peeing in a urinal, length of time you're req'd to stay in FL, hotel/Airbnb/Uber cost, Surgery Fees, having to lay on tummy in Uber to get to dr appts, not being able to sit, constipation caused by anesthesia & iron pills, trying to sit on the back of your legs to poop(tmi) while trying to avoid sitting on drains, emptying liquid from jp drains, constantly having to use incentive spirometer to help keep lungs healthy after having anesthesia, depression, numbness of back/butt, scars, learning to accept I have no butt, having to wear butt pads & not being able to sleep.
POST-OP PROS: I have my health back!!! I have NO more pain!! The majority of the silicone is out of my body!! ETC...
Dr. G is heaven sent! He's caring, thorough, very knowledgeable of removing foreign material by cutting it out. He cut a section of my butt out where the product was. He also take pics and video of the infected area that he cut out while your on the table. He showed me a video of my fat/tissue with silicone balls that he popped. He also showed me how he got the product out of my back. He's amazing! Yes he's expensive, BUT right out of surgery I felt no pain. I took about 6 Motrin800 pills after surgery for discomfort. I will be having recon surgery this summer because my butt at the top is kinda flat. The bottom of my butt is fine though. Hope this helps...
