Here is the photos of before and after As well as a photo of the silicone that was a silicone lump. He excises the area as if exising a mole. Leaves a line scar or a small divot. He also showed me the silicone that he was able to remove after the surgery.

Excellent surgeon! I knew the moment walking into his office that Dr. Katzen was the right surgeon to perform removal of Silicone from my face. Yes I can, he sorta excises the areas as if it were a mole. There is a lot of swelling directly after the surgery but eventually that subsides. You will be left with a tiny scar. Which will be either be a line scar or small little divot in the area. This beats having a lump in the area though. Also an MRI is taken to locate where the silicone was inserted within the face. I'll try to post photos sometime this weekend.

MRI usually can be expensive but there is a place in Los Angeles that charges $200 so you can get an MRI for relatively cheap within the LA area

I see. Cutting out silicone like a mole leaves indented scar. I had mole cut out and it took years for that to heal normal and it's still indented. Unless mine was very bad il just keep injecting kenalog

It seems like he can only excise lumps, not silicone in the face that has not formed a lump

Why did you decide to take it out? in the pictures did not look bad. Just curious. I also had some indented scars injected and they do look better but the problem I have now is that I am having an area that looks like the silicone moved or doctor over injected so it looks like a triangle shape is not bumpy but I can see something happen there.
