BA with Excellent Care
I got my breast augmentation in 2020. I’m 5’9”, a 36” band and I got 385 cc high profile Sientra silicon implants under the muscle. I was originally a 36A cup size. My experience from consultation to surgery and post op was made lovely with all the staff of Prime Plastic Surgery.
I came in for a consultation about two months prior to my surgery date and I’m glad I picked up the courage to pick up the phone and walk through that door. I was nervous and had my paper of questions to ask. I took photos with the Vectra and was outfitted with sizers. At first I was really unsure if I was making a choice for me or if I was just another potential patient just passing through. There was one staff in particular that helped me immensely to coming to terms with my decision. Her name was Brittany. She read me like a book and told me straight what I was thinking. Like a mind reader! That the initial sizing they fitted me and said looked right were wrong and my face told her that I wanted to go bigger than what was suggested. She fetched me larger sizers to try and when I did try them, I knew immediately that this was right.
Dr. Chao arrived and he is admittedly quick but careful in listening to your questions and to cover what he can do on his end to achieve your goals for your breasts. He talks quick and that can be intimidating but he was very considerate of the limitations of his ability and the limits of my own body (in regards to safety) in achieving my goal photos I compiled. I came out pretty nervous but confident that I wanted to go as big as my body could. Honestly Brittany really helped me decide to do it. She quelled all my fears and doubts of advocating that I wanted to go big.
Come surgery day. It was early morning and by the time I was getting the surgical markings with Dr. Chao; it was already time to be on the surgical table and listening to the music in the OR as I fell to slumber. I woke up post op hearing that though they couldn’t fit 415cc in like originally planned he did do his very best to fit what he could. Which was the 385cc that I have to this day.
Nausea and pain post op weren’t too bad. I got an incline pillow to sleep vertically for the first couple days. I had help to wash myself. And the first day or two it was real hard to lift my arms above my chest or anywhere. Pressure was felt. Pain management wasn't too bad. Bowel movements returned to normal day 2. I also got really itchy like day 3, 4 or 5. It was real bad. Fortunately, Prime Plastic Surgery’s Daisy reached out to me periodically during my recovery and addressed all concerns with recovery I had. (no matter how trivial they were!) It was really sweet and I loved it. At the first post op visit they even gave me lovely flowers (Halloween themed), it was wonderful and unexpected.
I wanted to mention also that the front desk of Prime Plastic Surgery answered any questions, comments, or concerns I had throughout the whole process. Especially Helen, she helped me navigate the paperwork I needed for the time off from work. As we know that can be our biggest worries in our planning. I recommend going to Prime Plastic Surgery. They make you feel comfortable every step of the way towards your goals!
