I'm sooo excited to have finally officially scheduled my Mommy Makeover today! Met with the PS today for the 3rd time. Had a false start about 2 years ago and due to financial stuff that came up I couldn't have my surgery at that time. Now, I'm ready!!!
Been doing a 30 day healthy living challenge since February 5, 2018 and am down 7 pounds. I will continue with this for the next 6 weeks and am adding exercise 4-5 days a week up until surgery. Hoping to feel better tomorrow to start the exercise(have a sinus infection and am going to doctor but might try to push through it).
Met with my PS today and had all the before photos taken. Talked about implant size/goals. I talked with her about full C/small D but really until that point all I've wanted to have is a full D cup. Going to buy 2-3 of the same style bra in size 34C, 34D, and 34DD/F then use rice sizers to figure out what I really feel comfortable with (and what gets my hubby hottest under the collar. lol wink wink)
My biggest goals for this surgery are to have my muscles sewn back together, get rid of small hernia that could get bigger if I don't get it fixed, remove 3-5 pounds of belly skin (estimated), get to have a belly button again (eeee!), lift "the girls" back where they were starting out, keeping the areolas as big as they are now or as much as possible, and having a little bit larger size than right now. Also lipo way the love handles as much as possible.
A girl can dream right? LOL

2-1/2 weeks to go!
BeenWaiting6YearsJuly 31, 2018
Can't believe surgery is coming up August 14th. I'm kind of freaking out but am sooo excited. I'm 5'3" and 140lbs (+/- 2lbs depending on the day). My update appointment with my doc is this Thursday, Aug 2nd and I'm ready to show her the bra with rice sizers I made and have been wearing around every couple days. It is a little bigger than what we originally talked about because of making the sizers and wearing around and also after reading "I wish I would have gone bigger" on almost every single review I've read for MM's.
So now I'm researching what items I need to make sure to have pre surgery like bra types, clothing that's easy to wear around the house for the weeks after surgery, etc. Any suggestions or things you couldn't live without?

Oh how exciting! What size are planning on going with? Hope all goes well! Congrats to a new you :)

I'm not sure how to figure out the size as I made rice sizers and can't remember what the amount mean verses cc's. I've been wearing a bra around 34 DDD/G with the sizers that looks great maybe a little big but I keep reading where alot of people say they wish they would have gone a little bigger so why not?! LOL
August 1, 2018
Oh gosh, I can't remember either. I ended up with 400 ccs in my right and 425ccs in my left. My PS said that was all she could fit in me. If you can go bigger, I would. I'll be going bigger in the future. I was really happy with them when they were swollen, but the swelling is gone now and I just wish they were bigger. Over all, I'm still very happy to have something up top again :)

Almost every review and anyone I know that has had a BA says they wished they had gone larger. I'm so glad that I told my PS I wanted larger and showed her the bra with the rice sizers. She's ordering the next size up from what she had for the surgery next week. I'm worried about being disappointed after the surgery still though! :( It's only a week away and I'm so anxious and excited I can't sleep!!!

I told mine too. We had a range of sizes going up to 480ccs, but she stuffed me full with 400. I remember that feeling though. I was anxious too, but it was pure excitement! I think everyone is always worried about how everything will turn out. Trust your surgeon hun :) I can't wait to see your post surgery pictures!

my overview and advice for TT and BA: Large water bottle with a sipper. Make sure to take laxatives! Someone to help for 2 days at least to get out of bed. My ps said no bra so that's been really nice, those straps look terrible!..... Clothing that doesn't press on nipple .
Constipation was the worst part of the whole ordeal (read my review !!) I found I had a lot more mobility in my arms after ba. I thought I'd be t-rexing around but I wasn't. Tt swelling was worse then I thought it would be and that seems to be the case on most tt reviews I read. I made sure I had baggy clothing esp track suit pants cos it doesn't feel nice rubbing on the incision.
I got 325 cc and tt. I'm modest, I didn't want anyone to notice and so far I don't think anyone has. Including my parents . So I don't necessarily believe that boob greed is an issue for everyone . Just take it easy as so your body can heal. I'm an active person and it's hard but Im determined to let my body heal well for best results and no complications . best of luck ! You'll be so happy !!

Oh man, I took laxatives and had the opposite problem! I had read that constipation is an issue for so many women in TT's that I took them, and then I had a "shuffle fast to the toilet with a walker" incident on my first couple days post op! Whoops! :)

Oh dear !surgery! It's not an ideal time for bowels at all aye ? I thought I was" going to die"

Congratulations on being so close!!! I love your username - I waited 8 years before deciding/getting the guts to go through with surgery, so I can definitely relate!!! It's such a big step and I was so nervous about it (worried about spending the money, judging myself for being "vain", etc.) but now that I'm almost 9 months post op, I think it was seriously the best decision I've ever made for myself! I still feel like myself but I have the confidence I want and my stomach muscles feel "restored" after the challenge of pregnancy. The surgery motivated me to start exercising 5x/week and generally living my life more fully. I was healthy before, but I feel an even greater push to be healthy and STRONG now. As far as supplies, it really seems like everyone is different. Things I found useful: cheapie front-zip sports bras from Walmart (my doc told me not to spend a lot and bring a couple different sizes due to swelling), I rented an electric recliner since we didn't have one at home and used it for about ~2-3 weeks, I borrowed a walker (embarrassing but OH SO USEFUL the first couple of days, esp when getting up and down). I also got a cheap rolling laptop/tray table to put next to the recliner and my husband kept my drinks (with straws!) and snacks/ cell phone/charger/remove there. I was also able to use it to put my laptop on and do short stints of work/emails after the first week or so. My husband made a med chart to keep track of what I needed to take when, and that was especially helpful the first few days when I was sleepy/woozy and he was making sure I was taking everything at the right times. I also took supplements (cleared by doctor) after the first week to help support healing - they are listed in my review. Protien drinks were good the first few days when I wasn't really hungry but needed to take something with meds. Also crackers and applesauce, or other smallish things to take with meds in the middle of the night. Some people swear by toilet seat risers, but I didn't need one. Depending on what your doctor advises, you may want some way to shower easily. I was allowed to shower with my drains, but the first few times I needed a stool/chair in the shower because I'd get tired standing (hunched) and didn't want to get dizzy. Be prepared to feel pretty weak the first few days. For me, the pain was less of a problem than the mental realization that it would take a few weeks to feel normal again, and I needed to REST and heal. It's hard for us moms/women to feel "unproductive" and bored! But its very doable and gets better gradually, day by day. Make sure you have good support/help. That's the number one thing I think people need. Someone to feed you healthy, small meals and keep an eye on things around the house!

One week out and feeling great! Pictures soon...
BeenWaiting6YearsAugust 22, 2018
I am one week out from surgery and had my 1 week PO today.
The surgery lasted 5.5 hours & I stayed overnight in the surgical suits. There was a nurse there checking vitals and making sure everything was ok and also my husband stayed overnight. He has been so sweet through all of this. I'm a lucky woman!
I went home the next day after getting new dressings and a peak of Dr Wall's work... LOOKED AMAZING! She also showed me a photo of my stomach and how messed up my muscles were and how they were split apart. I knew it was bad but didn't realize it was that bad! It's so great to know it's all sewn up like it should be. And when the binder is off, I don't feel like my organs are hanging out like it has felt for the past 6-8 years.
So days 2-4 PO were lots of sleeping, eating protein and veggies, drinking lots of water, etc. Day 3 was my first shower and it felt GREAT! By day 4, I was done with the hydrocodone mainly because of the Gabapentin prescription that I was taking 3 times a day and alternating with Tylenol and the shot in my tummy during surgery. I also was taking colace once in morning and once at night so day 4 PO was the painful but not horrible bowel movement. I think it either caused a hemroid or fissure. Not cool but not like some people's reports on their BMs. I'm still taking the colace and have been regular and not painful since.
Day 5 PO, another shower day and got all the binders etc washed. I feel like this is when I turned a corner. I ate breakfast at the table and dinner too. Walked around the house a bunch mainly to get ice water back and forth.
Day 6 PO, another day of walking around the house. A little tired and took a big nap.
Day 7 PO (today), another shower which was GREAT! I used tea tree oil on my scalp which felt wonderful since my skin seems to be drier than usual. For some reason, it wore me out really bad and I had a giant 2 hour nap. Then this afternoon was my 1 week PO appt. Dr. Wall again was great about answering questions (had a page written down full). I got 1 of the two drains removed. She told me I am doing great and couldn't believe how well i was getting around, how straight I'm standing, how good the incisions look, etc. I attribute it to how she is the best surgeon there is in the tri state area. People come from all over the US for Dr Holly Wall. And I know how well I'm doing is also because all the prayers that have been said for me and my mom's Bible study class praying for me.
I can't say enough about the level of service and care I've received from Wall Plastic Surgery center. If you live anywhere close, I believe this is the best place that can be picked.
