I'm a 66 year old female whom had been a very heavy smoker for most of my adult life and whilst I was not unpleasant to look at I knew the smoking had taken its toll. 5 years previously my husband had passed away and 18 months after that I was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer which, after a very successful operation and 6 months treatment I am now in remission and this gave me a totally different outlook on life. I didn't like my craggy neck or face. I approached Mr. Richard Bloom who performed the Surgery and I absolutely love the result. It is the best money I have ever spent. People say to me how well I look, or how good I look, I have never been asked if I've had anything done and to me, this is the best result you can wish for. I never had any doubts or second thoughts even at the 'worst time' 3 weeks after surgery. I was always made to feel Secure and safe. Life is too short, best thing I ever did.

May I ask did you have a full facelift? Chin, eyes? I do like the reviews about this surgeon and I see he has a practice in Richmond. Where was your operation performed? Hope you are well. Betty.

Hi Betty, I had neck and facelift, it's all done behind the ears, I didn't have eyes done. It was done in Canterbury, overnight stay because I'm from the country, everyone you deal with are really lovely, I'm absolutely rapt.

Seems to be a good price for the neck and facelift, I have arranged to get it done in Thailand but since before I went to Europe and still now 6 weeks later I still have the effects of some sort of flu or virus, have had 3 lots of antibiotics 2 here and 1 lot in Hungary. How long was your recovery? I really am thinking with going with your doctor. Did you need someone to collect you the next day? Your pictures look absolutely fantastic. Betty.

It was about $25,000.00, that's hospital, theatre, anaethesist and surgeon, definitely need to be picked up, downtime with surgical headwear was 3 weeks for me, bruising and swelling nearly gone, enough to go outdoors, have photos but they are on my phone not this IPad. It does take a few weeks, well for me it did, I guess everyone is different.

Are you still going to Thailand to get surgery done, or you are getting it done here in Australia? It would have been cheaper to get it done in Hungary while you were there and they are very good too.

Wow... You look fantastic, you have had a really sad time and deserve to live life to the full, how did you manage to give up the smoking with all that stress ???, considering you smoked heavily , you don't seem to have smoker lip lines at all.

I do have some lip lines but they don't worry me. I've quite often wondered how I never took up smoking especially when I was diagnosed. It it just seemed there were so many good people helping me it never occurred to me, no way was I going to smoke again, and I wouldn't have been able to afford my brilliant Doctor, lol..

Well done, I'm having lower face and neck with upper eyes on the 28th Sept, I have had to give up for the procedure, I'm doing ok at mo with it. I have some very bad lip lines , I am nearly 62 yrs old, so I might get fillers ??, my daughter is getting married next year and I hate having my photo taken, hoping I will look better after op x
