My expectations for this surgery is for me to finally be able to have a flat tummy that I will not be embarrassed about any longer. I have two girls, 14 and 4, which left me with lots of stretch marks and loose, saggy skin. I have decided to get a tummy tuck and laser assisted lipo in hopes of getting the shape I haven't seen since I was a teenager. The surgery is exactly 2 weeks from today and I'm super nervous about it, but excited about my expected results. The part that makes me nervous is I'm getting it done as outpatient. Any dos or don'ts from anyone that has already undergone this procedure?

So you did your surgery outpatient? My doctor told me I need to stay the night. Do you have drains? I'm doing a drain less procedure. I'm just curious if you had drains.

Day 5 and the pain is still rough!

banderson725
My back is KILLING ME from being hunched over so much, but I'm coming together. I eased on on my pain meds as of yesterday, so that I could make a poo.. I was sooooo constipated. As of today being day 5, I am EXTREMELY swollen, but I think my surgeon did an excellent job with the scar placement. I can see my sexy coming lol

I think he is AMAZING! His bedside manner is so polite, he gave me his cell phone to call him anytime, and as you can see he did great placement with my scar. I give him 5 stars so far

My surgery is 27 days away and I'm so excited! Any tips for me?
October 2, 2015
Post surgery advice, PLEASE take your pain meds around the clock, and stay away from foods high in sodium and processed sugars. It will make the swelling worse. Also, keep your legs elevated... It will help will the pulling of the incision site. Your back is gonna hurt like hell, so make sure you have extra pillows to lean on. Keep funny people away from you so that you don't laugh. That muscle plication HURTS! I'm 9 days post op, and just starting to straighten up. Everything is numb so pain is minimal, and keep your binder as tight as you can stand it. It HELPS! Best of luck to you and don't forget to post pics :)
