One month after my Morpheus8 treatment. Hyperpigmentation still visible
$999
One month later and the hyper pigmentation is still very visible on my face. The spa refunded my money today and I feel so bad things turned out this way. I was really hoping for flawless skin and now I’m just hoping to restore my skin back to what it was prior to receiving the Morpheus8 treatment.

Response from Inmode concerning scarring
When I spoke to someone from Inmode on the phone I was told one of their clinicians would be contacting me to discuss how the treatment caused such severe scarring on my face. Their response email seems to suggest they have no interest in speaking with me about my scarring. I’m disappointed that no one from the spa to the manufacturer is willing to take any responsibility for my results or offer any additional support to get rid of the hyperpigmentation. Lesson learned for sure.

This is my experience with the field. You get damaged and they want the person who did it to fix you (who you no longer trust) Others don't want to try to fix other people's bad work either ugh
This whole experience of trying to improve the appearance of my skin has been a complete nightmare
The earlier you address this the better the chance you will have of reversing or improving the damage. As I said earlier, you need a TOP dermatologist. You can fix it, but don't delay. I am also AA and prone to hyperpigmentation. I posted a pic of my results one day after my M8 treatment. This is closer to how you should have looked,
I'm not surprised. They are afraid of being sued.
I am so sorry!! You are so beautiful. Hydroquinone cream will definitely help, but you will have to use it continuously. Also make sure you take break from it after 3 months or it can cause irreversible skin darkening. I had morpheus8 on my abdomen and the technican said she had to do it differently and deeper because of my darkskin. I know the technique is different for African American.
They went pretty deep on my skin as well
Inmode's response is disappointing. They know full well who is using their very, very expensive equipment. They should stand behind their product unless they are only worried about the $$$. Negative reviews aren't going to help them sell their product. I would head straight to a dermatologist (if you can find one that has the Morpheus8 they will know the ins and outs.). I would listen to BelleNuit. Good luck.

Still no improvements
My face today looks much like it did 3 days after the service. I’ve spoken to the doctor (physician not dermatologist) and he’s told me it’s just trauma induced hyperpigmentation and there’s nothing I can do but being the retinol/hydroquinone regimen. I have an appointment with an actual dermatologist coming up so hopefully he/she will be able to provide me with more support and a way forward out of this hell. The spa didn’t even offer to refund me my money! I was shocked multiple times during the procedure which was not done by the doctor but a different staff member. At one point the device smelt like it was overheating and I asked the woman providing the service if she thought it needed a minute to cool.

If anyone has any idea what might be going on with my skin as a result of the Morpheus 8 or how I can remedy this, please please reach out. I feel horrible that my attempt to look a little better has caused me to drastically worse.
Try using witch hazel , use a cotton ball to soak it and dab it underneath your eyes it’s good for black eyes, also buy aloe Vera plant squeeze gel out and apply , good for bruising and whole body as well as witch hazel, hope this helps.
You need to sue these individuals! This is horrible. And ask for a refund!
I signed a waiver before the treatment, and I’ve requested a refund which I thought would be uncontested, but I have yet to hear back. The only thing worse than someone running your skin to the point of not being able to go outside or hang out with friends is having someone ruin your skin and then have you give them $1000 dollars for it
You need to sue -- you need more than just a refund. Talk to a lawyer, the waiver may not hold up. Sue the medspa and the manufacturer for pain and suffering.
With lasers and skin that have more melanin, a practitioner has to know what they are doing, AND if they ought to be doing it at all! I have worked in a Medspa, and my husband oversees two places. The nurses I know usually won't do deeper skin tones. They are just too concerned about the outcome. I so hope your skin gets better. I really wish you could sue them, as you are going to spend some money getting this fixed. I would review them everywhere you can, and warn others. This is not right, and you should not have to pay for their mistake, and/or lack of knowledge about the laser they are using(unless I am wrong, and this one is fine for all skin tones). I hope I am not upsetting you, but in this day and age, they should know what they are doing.
Awe, I’m so sorry for you ;(. I feel your pain as I’ve been burned and permanently scarred from lasers. Hyperpigmentation is always a challenge, especially as deep as yours. It will take a long time. I also hyperpigment and have tried everything in the booK. i had the best results from the old Obagi system, but they changed it. Anyhow use glycolic said along with the HQ & Retin A.
Good luck to you, my dearest! You’re still beautiful
