Septoplasty/Rhinoplasty - The Phenomenal Results You Deserve

If you are worried- Read This.

At the time of my surgery, I was a 22 year old woman who had only ever had one other surgical procedure done prior to this. I had contemplated getting my nose fixed since I was a young girl. Due to having horrible sinus issues and a deviated septum every day living was irritable and filled with endless sneezing, sniffling, and touching of my nose. This procedure changed my life in an extremely positive way. I have zero regrets in my decision and I firmly believe it is because of the following reasons:

1. Choosing Dr.Rady.
Dr.Rady is unlike many other plastic surgeons in the way that he cares. He cares about his grade of work and therefore will not allow you to not have any and all of the facts about whatever procedure you are interested in. He is very straightforward and wants to give the best possible results to everyone, depending on your body type, age, etc. He is a perfectionist and will also inform you that you are working from point A and he will get you to your point B. Everyone has a there own point A and B. Your results will be unique to you and that is what makes them look natural and amazing, not stiff or fake. Be patient when waiting for your appointment. Dr.Rady is very busy, but that can ensure you that you are at the right place, as many other people are entrusting in his work for a legitimate reason. When your appointment comes he will spend time answering all of your questions and make plans to set up a pre-op. In the pre-op, you will not look through an array of noses picking and choosing which nose you'd like on your face. You need too look through Dr.Rady's body of work and feel confident in his craft and the way he goes about shaping the nose. Depending on your facial structure and point A, he will take you to a new and beautiful point B, that is just an improvement on your old nose and not a completely new one.
Because Dr.Rady takes such great care of his patients, you will be given the best medication for your pain and information on how to take care of yourself after the procedure. You will have your nose wrapped and packed with gauze, as shown in the pictures. Personally, I did not feel much pain, except for few moments of sharp jabs to the nose, but that wasn't until later when my nose was probably loosing the swelling, which is good. It is very, very uncomfortable. Having something wrapped around my nose made me especially anxious because I had to breathe only through my mouth. I was already used to that from my sinus issues, but once I began focusing on it more I worried. In reality, it was not a big deal. You will need to sit up at night as best as you can after surgery. It is not comfortable, but it will benefit you and you should get used to it quickly. The office will inform you that you need to pull out the gauze in your nose a week or so afterwards, which will not be a good feeling at first. Just do it quickly so that you can be relieved of the packing and begin breathing. You will see Dr.Rady two weeks after, and that is when he will show you your first phase of your improved nose! Don't think that this is your final results because IT'S NOT. Your nose will be making distinct changes throughout the next year. I am now at 7 months post-op and I could have not imagined my nose would become this defined and somehow not too noticeable. You can't wear makeup or glasses for a while and you will have to hold off on exercising and lifting a certain amount. You will have multiple follow up appointments with Dr.Rady after the 2 week mark, as well. Everything, including the surgery itself will be easy because Dr.Rady has the best team on anesthesiologists, nurses, and office team that will always pick up your call and comfort your concerns with genuine answers. Dr.Rady being my surgeon gave me the most successful results possible.

2. I Loved Myself
For so long, I thought I would never get this procedure done because I thought it meant I hated myself in some way. Well, that isn't true. I love my Papa, who passed down that nose to me. He's my idol and the most handsome man I've ever known. Just because I didn't find it flattering on myself does not make me hateful or shameful. If the procedure would've never happened, I'd still be powerful and beautiful and ambitious and kind. Those are things you need to get straight with yourself before your enter a procedure as serious as this one because there is no going back. I'm not worried about what others think or if they have noticed. I do no care to hear the opinions of those who are not me, and neither should you. You will go on living your entire life as you, so if theres something you want, go get it. However, do not do it impulsively. If you've looked in the mirror every day for the past 10 years and thought you'd like to change the symmetry of your nose then there's sense into following up with that. If you suddenly don't like your nose because someone made a comment or it's not something that strongly bothers you, I would not recommend going through. This needs to be your something. You're allowed to have control to change your body! You do! But, do it for the reasons that make you for comfortable and improve your original beauty and do not erase the beauty you already hold. Conventional beauty may make some aspects of your life easier, but it can and will never buy you happiness or success. Beauty is completely subjective. Physical beauty is so minuscule in the grand scheme of things, but if you want to alter something for your personal satisfaction then do it and don't ever forget it when judging others. Love yourself first because then you won't regret a thing.

Life After - It's been amazing! I can breathe!!! I don't have to keep a tissue in my nose at night and claritin D on my bedside. I have a fraction of the amount of allergy episodes that I used to. I don't know if those results are normal, but wow! That has been the most significant change. My nose is still changing every month and it is still small, life before, but the large bump of cartilage that was on one side has been removed making my nose much slimmer. I am happy. So happy. I highly recommend Dr.Rady and his team for your surgical needs.
