Hello everyone! I want to share my story about...
WORTH IT
Hello everyone! I want to share my story about experiencing a plastic surgery in another country and what the recovery was like for me. First of all, being in a foreign country and proceeding a surgery alone was quite stressful for me but huge thanks to BANOBAGI for their attention, care and support. My first consultation there left quite strong impression and I’m glad that didn’t choose another place (I considered several clinics but due to certain reasons chose BANOBAGI).
I got my nose job done before at another place but wasn’t satisfied with the result and hopefully didn’t proceed facial contouring there. When I came to BANOBAGI I thought that one surgeon would proceed all operations but the assistant explained that each doctor there has a narrow specialization in a certain area, therefore two surgeons have been working on my case. First I had a consultation with Dr.Oh on facial contouring and since I wanted v-line he advised angular jaw reduction for making my face look slimmer and advanced genioplasty to improve my short chin. Later I met with Dr.Lee to discuss my nose revision surgery. Since the first rhinoplasty didn’t give me the result I wanted (slimmer and more accurate nose) we decided to proceed alar reduction for achieving a maximum effect.
The overall time I spent under the knife was about 3 hours and 1-day hospitalization. The first few hours after anesthesia were a bit difficult, little dizziness and uncommon feeling on my face made me feel uncomfortable. The next day I felt a lot better but undereye edema popped up making me look ugly and my face began to swell (I always had to put on ice packs). On the forth day tape around my chin was removed and a week after the surgery stitches were taken out from my nose leaving a dark-pinky scar on columella. My nose and face were no longer covered and I could finally see initial results. The left part of my face was swollen a bit more but Dr.Oh calmed me down telling that it was too early to analyze the outcome. On the 14 day 4cm stitches on my lower gums were removed and it was a bit painful than I was thinking but quite tolerable. Before going back home BANOBAGI also offered me some special after-surgery care treatments to decrease swelling.
Within the next two weeks I realized that belong to a lucky quick-recovery type. My face was still swollen but reminded cute baby-cheeks more than after-party drunkard’s face and bruising was totally gone. A month after I returned to my normal life and almost forgot about the proceeding surgery. I could open my mouth wider and started to brush my teeth. The only reminder was the time when I had to eat and wash my hair. The next month the situation improved, my mouth still didn’t open wide enough as I was too lazy to do opening-mouth exercises but swelling was almost gone. After 3 months I finally met my friends at a party (some of them didn’t see me for a while and they’ve noticed changes but couldn’t understand what exactly happened). The scar on columella was still a bit visible but I could hide it with some makeup hacks.
After the 4 month the result already was beautiful, no swelling, no noticeable scars, I could eat and drink everything and freely open my mouth. By the end of my supposed full recovery time (6 months) I already forgot about proceeded surgeries and no reminders left.
All in all, I’m very grateful to Dr.Lee and Dr.Oh for the way I look like now and at the moment I’m very satisfied with my surgical results. I’m also very happy for being able to share my experience and story with you :)
