I went to Seoul South Korea for my facial cosmetic...

I went to Seoul South Korea for my facial cosmetic surgery. I first was thinking about going to Singapore but I changed my mind because I heard a lot of people say that South Korea was the best for plastic surgery.
I have been told before I got my surgery that I had a pretty face but ever since I was young in my teenager years, I saw that my face was very long and I did not like the look. As I got older my cheekbones were starting to grow out and same with my chin. This gave my face a weird shape because my face is more of the long type. I have heard some people even say I look like a transgender which I did not like (I am 100% woman). Even some people I am close with said I kind of look like one because of my jaw shape so I finally decide to get surgery done for it.
I found Regen by internet search and unfortunately they did not have any surgeon or reviews at the time on realself but I found many other sites that had reviews from Regen so I asked for a consultation on their website. It has an English language option so its easy to use. I left a message including my LINE messenger ID and they messaged me the next day asking for more information about my face. They mentioned to me about Dr. Oh so I checked on youtube and he was some kind of celebrity surgeon on a popular tv show there. I decided go with regen because I saw a girl on the show that had a similar issue as me with good results. Anyways they gave me a price quote and I made an appointment but had to make a 10% deposit for securing my surgery spot before arrival.
I arrived in Seoul 1st week of August and Regen was a 15 minute taxi ride from my hotel. It cost about 7,000 won from Jamsil area. The hospital is right next to the Kyobo Tower, a big brown building in the middle of a busy intersection. The regen building has many plastic surgery type pictures on the building. I messaged regen on LINE and was informed to visit the 15th floor.
The lobby felt very upscale. Kind of a hospital boutique feel with nice seats and magazines and everyone was sooo pretty. All the workers looked like models and I started to get really excited and nervous at the same time.
When I arrived, I spoke with the consulting agent and filled out some paperwork. I then took a CT scan of my face and once that was ready I finally got to meet Dr. Oh. He was a very polite doctor and kept asking me questions about my trip to Korea and making sure if everything was ok. He also looked very young, I was surprised he was a famous surgeon. We basically had a meeting to talk about my face. I told him what I wanted to change. He provided me with the technical surgery term which was a zygoma reduction and a jaw reduction. I was told my cheekbones will be rotated inwards slightly and my jaw bone will be but to create a smaller jawline and straighter jawline on the side. I decided to get the procedure.
I scheduled my surgery on 8/8 but I came in on the 7th to get my pre-screening checkup completed. They did some blood work and a few other tests. Everything took about an hour and I was able to leave.
On the day of surgery, I didn’t eat anything as I was told to and the staff got me ready and had me change my clothes. I met Dr. Oh and the anesthesiologist and spoke to him for a few minutes. I was quite nervous but his face was very confident and I just felt like he knew what he was doing so it calmed my nerves a bit. Inside the operation room I was told I am being given something to put me to sleep and that was it. I don’t even remember falling asleep. When I woke up I was in their recovery area and I was still very fuzzy and remember my face hurting a lot. I then spoke to someone about few things about my healing process. I noticed my face had much more swelling than I anticipated and asked the Dr. Oh and consulting agent about it and I was told that if I get laser treatment done, it would reduce swelling a bit so I decided to get that done too but I had to wait until the 12th. So for 2 days I was in pain and agony but the care at Regen was very nice. The staff were so nice to me and every time I saw their pretty face it made me forget my pain a bit.
On the day of laser treatment I went through some kind of cleansing process. They washed my face and did some exfoliation on my face. It was painful but not as painful as the day of surgery. Then they did some kind of laser treatment on my face. I didn’t feel any pain from the laser. Afterwards they put some kind of mask pack on my face and I could kind of feel my face loosen up a bit and not as tight. I was told a few things to care for when I was alone and left. I came in for the same treatment on the 14th and 16th. When I came in on the 16th, they removed the dressing on my face and I took an x-ray. I also saw how different my jaw looked. My face even though it was swollen looked so much better and I was so happy even though I couldn’t smile and show it.
My treatment process ended on the 17th and I was cleared to go. They gave me a list of instructions on proper care when I am by myself. I took a few photos with them and stayed in Korea for 2 more nights and went home.
It’s been over 3 months now and I am so so happy on my new face. I feel so confident and happy. I have to admit after around 1 and a half months, I could not stop looking in the mirror because my face line was so pretty. My experience with regen was excellent and I give my recommendation. I will go back next year around March to get a fat graft.

Before surgery I didn't really like taking the photos because of the shape of my face. I only took pics just so I can see the comparisons so I didn't take many. Here is a photo of my side before surgery.

Did you experience and facial sagging? Did your surgeon use screws to stabilize your cheekbones in place? Are you happy with the surgery overall?
December 15, 2017
There was no facial sagging. Dr. Oh's Zygoma surgery is quite known for having results with no sagging at all and the amount of screws used was minimal. They are also very hard to see in x-rays. Overall I'm very satisfied and so thankful to Dr. Oh and his staff. I'll go back to Seoul in 2018 to get a ctn x-ray to check my recovery and progress and consult them about my eye surgery and fat graft

Did the staff recommend zygoma reduction or were you looking to do that to begin with
December 5, 2017
Prior to surgery, my chin was the main issue for me but I also was unhappy with my face as a whole. I thought getting the zygoma along with the v-line procedure would help with the shape. The staff recommended the zygoma to me but it was something I wanted to do.

You were quite pretty before and your results are beautiful!

I’m confused about why you’re saying thank you when the compliment was directed towards NataGosha? Am I missing something? Or, are there duplicate accounts?

did you have to pay in full right after the surgery? did they have some sort of payment plan? oh and how old were u when getting your surgery cause I’m 19 and idk if that’s too young to get a surgery done
January 15, 2018
I had to pay for the entire cost before the surgery of course. I don't think there are places that do the surgery before payment. I'm 27 now but I'm not sure if its okay for you to do it at your age. I think it's better if you ask an expert. I think you can ask Dr. Oh through his profile page or regen site.
