I Got a Mini V-line Revision at Regen, Seoul

WORTH IT
“V-line surgery is aimed at aesthetic correction of the contours of the lower jaw and/or the shape of the chin, making the face look smaller and more elegant” this is what I new about v-line and what expected after the operation. About a year ago I came to Seoul for a V-line surgery and according to the information I found on many forums I went to ID plastic surgery. The consultation and first impression about the clinic and the doctor were good, he was very kind and friendly and after the operation when I started notice that there were no changes in my facial lines, the doctor told me that it was too early to judge and asked to wait at least 6 months when swelling gone and the rehabilitation period is over. I patiently waited but every time looking in the mirror realized that there still were no obvious changes. I contacted ID a year after and asked for a revision. First, they didn’t agree with my complaints and later I was told that my surgeon’s schedule was already overloaded. I didn’t expect such an attitude and the first impression ruined in a second like house of cards. I was very upset as realized they were too commercialized and for me it was just a waste of money but firmly decided on getting a V-shaped face I didn’t give up. I started to search again and my second operation decided to proceed at Regen.
My expectations about everything weren’t high any longer and I wasn’t too excited as already had experience in dealing with plastic surgery but when I first met Dr.Oh I felt some kind of calmness and trust. During the consultation he explained that v-line revision is usually more complicated and since there are a lot of facial nerves he couldn’t approach a huge part of my jaw. After taking ct scans and x-ray shoots, Dr. Oh explained it was possible to reshape the shape of the jaw by removing the v-line pin done by ID. I liked the way he explained the operation steps and details, he described not only the surgery I needed but also reasons why he couldn’t proceed a normal V-line revision the second time. I was very impressed by his professionalism and experience. He showed me numerous pics of previous patients and compared them with my situation and that’s how a real professional works. He paid attention on every small detail and if before vising Regen I wanted a very slim face and even thought of extracting some teeth, Dr.Oh explained that my facial proportions won’t allow me to have a shape I dreamt about and let me understood that it’d probably make me look like an alien and very unnatural.
The operation was 2 days after. I arrived earlier to get ready for the surgery, met with Dr.Oh one more time for a final consultation and he made some marks on my face. When I entered the operation room everything was already prepared. Two nurses and an assistant were there, fold my hair, set and connected equipment and once the anesthesia shot was inserted into my vein and blood spread it in my body I fall asleep. When I woke up everything was already finished and a nurse helped me to get to my recovery room. I had a familiar feeling of light dizziness and loss of time and spent there one night and came back to my hotel only next morning after getting a final check from the surgeon. The post-op period was a bit tougher than before but quite bearable. A few days I was on painkillers so didn’t feel anything. I had to follow a “liquid-diet” again, drink a lot of water to faster the metabolism, walk a lot for getting rid of swelling and sleep on 10 pillows in order to keep my “head over heart”. On the 13th day stitches were removed, I underwent some post-op treatments at the clinic and I returned home.
It’s been only a month since I got a surgery done at Regen and my results are not obvious and finalized yet, but I already can see that the lower part of my face became noticeably smaller. I’m exercising my mouth daily and now it’s a 3-finger-openness already, enough for a semi-yawning. I don’t have to, but still following the diet as it’s a bit difficult to chew solid food. I still have to wear a bandage 4 hours a day and swelling isn’t completely gone, but I’m very satisfied with the result this time. I don’t want share my pics as look like a panda with edemas under my eyes and don’t want anyone sees them but from my ct scans it’s clear to see the changes were made.

Hey, how much have you paid for the procedure? Planning to do that also.
since it was a revision, paid around $13,800
hi, thank you for sharing your experience which I read with interest, but I and others would be really pleased, if you could share also your pics. I don't think that anybody would judge you know for your looking! I think all memebers of this website are conscious about the facilities here.
I don't really wanna show my face, sorry...
Well, I feel like I can comment more easily when there are no pictures. The whole V-line correction really puzzles me and scares me a bit. It has to be cultural...it's the only way I can wrap my head around it. Like bound feet in early Japanese culture. Unthinkable in the West, but quite a common practice in the far East. Women (and men alike) are changing their looks to resemble little children and in the process ending up indistinguishable from each other. Strange world we live in now.
