Natural Jaw Line After Surgery

Natural Jaw Line After Surgery

WORTH IT
I always wanted to make my facial shape closer to my ideal type through plastic surgery but some reviews as well as comments kept doubting me for quite a while. People were telling stories about their unsuccessful surgeries and how dangerous facial contouring is, as facial skeleton involved with huge amount of nerves and muscles. Since our bones structure keep forming up to 20 years I had enough time to search for a reputable place and experienced surgeon and in September 2016 I finally got my surgery done in Seoul at BANOBAGI hospital under Dr.Oh’s knife. Hopefully, the position of my teeth was optimal for the operation and there was no need for an additional orthodontic treatment, so I didn’t spend much time for preparation. At the consultation when I explained dr Oh what result I expect from the operation, he said that a harmony in the ratio of mouth area and chin proportion is very important and a mix of angular jaw reduction, genioplasty and zygomatic bone reduction would give a better result. He explained that with just lower jaw reduction my face might look too protruded and since my zygomatic bone was a bit wide, with too slim lower face I’d look very weird, like Sid sloth from Ice Age LOL.
The operation was scheduled for the next morning. It took dr Oh about 2 hours to transform me into a better version of myself, I was given anesthesia so don’t know what happened at the operation room. When I woke up I was already in my recovery room, two tubes were coming out from my mouth and my face was fixed with a very tight bandage. The cut was made from the inside of my mouth, so I didn’t have any external scars. Tubes were removed the next morning, a week after I took out a bandage and two weeks later seams were pulled out.
The next 3-5 days I felt discomfort and slight pain, was a bit swollen and bruising made me look like a zombie but everything was completely gone by the end of 10 day. On the second week I felt much better and could do simple things around my room. The first three weeks I was told that my jaw should be in a state of complete rest for faster and better recovery and for about a month do not load the jaw too much. Had to bear discomfort for a while but the result definitely worth it.
In general, I think the length of the rehabilitation period is largely determined by the intensity of the early functional load which included opening and closing mouth and movements of a jaw with gradual increases. I wanted a very fast recovery, so also carried out facial massage and quite regular mouth rinse usage to escape any infection.
The effect was noticeable enough by the end of the third month but dr Oh asked to wait at least 5-6 months to see the final result. I didn’t have any complications, no sensitivity decrease or bleeding. As a result, the operation imparted my face more sensuality, facial lines became more defined and harmonious, and face looks slimmer and cutter.

How much did you pay?
And did they only shave the jawline, or did you get zygoma reduction also ?
back in 2016 I paid around 10,000 USD for jaw reduction and yes, I also got zygoma surgery
Hey just out of curiosity, your nise seems to be much slimmer, did you aldo get rhinoplasty meantime?
hi! no, I didn't get any nose job done
Hello, I am curious about how your face feels now 2 years after surgery. Do you experience any pain or complications or side-effects from this? Or you don't feel any pain right now and it's as if you never did the surgery?
no, I have no pain, no discomfort or a feeling of something alien and most importantly no skin sagging
Hi did you also get your nose done and bleach your skin?
That was also my question, the shape of her nose is totally different - much slimmer. And also some other features have changed..
I think it’s because she’s weaeing circle lens, and also nose contoured+ some face tuning for bigger eyes. I think the important thing is she didn’t experience sagging after these many years of getting these procedures done. That in itself is a thumbs up for me!
Yes most likely. Asians who have surgery do have a trend for bleaching skin so I think it’s more than face tune: yes that’s true but I find all aspects of surgery/treatments important
Did you get your eyes one too? And our nose looks much slimmer too. Looks good though .
