I am a 47year old woman who suffered early...
I am a 47year old woman who suffered early menopause at the age of 41 and over the last six years I have gained eight mainly on my stomach area. This completely destroyed my self esteem. I am vegan and quite active, so in my head I should not be so fat! but no matter what I did I could not shift the tummy.
I was put on antidepressants by my doctor to try and help me deal with the wight gain and the effect it had on my self esteem and mood. I remained on the tablets about six months but they did not help....in fact I gained more weight! So I decided to take matters into my own hands and do something about it by having Lipo suction.
I had been a patient at Selston cosmetic clinic for over a year where I went to Doctor Bassi for thread lift treatment. I was very happy with my treatment and got to know Dr B and Mags quite well. I had seen on the clinics web site that they performed Vaser Lipo and when I went for one of my facial treatments I enquired about it.
Dr B explained the procedure to me thoroughly and I decided to book an appointment for the surgery. I was nervous and excited at the same time but little did I know just how worth it this was going to be.
I arrived for surgery at the stated time and was made to feel at ease. I was given pain killers and tranquilizers to help with my nerves and prepared for surgery. Dr B took some before photos and told me that there was four inches of fat to come off: he then began to administer the anesthetic.
I won't lie, this stings a bit..... But it is bearable. Once the anesthetic is in then you feel nothing. I lost track of time and just went with it in my mind. I just kept thinking about what it would be like afterwards and that carried me though over two hours of surgery.
I'm two weeks post op and already the results are out of this world. It's been a sore and painful two weeks wearing a compression garment with inch thick foam but pleased I did it? YES!!!!!!! They say that this treatment is only as good as the person who performs the procedure..... In that case, Dr Bassi is simply amazing.....
