No real improvement
I have noticed no real improvements, but I probably expected too much from this procedure. The horizontal line above my lip reduced by 90%, but other than that, my skin looks like it did pre-procedure. For my 3rd procedure, I opted to not get the Secret and went with a Clear and Brilliant. The tech seemed miffed and said the C&B was more for people in their 30's. I wish I had been able to get a refund after the first appt. I will never buy a package again, live and learn. Face swelled up immediately and hated having my eyelids taped shut.
I did go back
I apparently forgot how terrible the first session was and went back for another session. The depth and energy wasn't as strong as the first time. It's been 24 hours and my face is misshapen and even my neck is swollen.
Probably Won't Go for More
After thinking about the options available to me based on my needs and budget, I decided on Secret RF and purchased a package of 3 with a local day spa. (I was clearing up after having experienced 3 weeks of sinusitis/rhinitis, take daily doses of Claritin/Nasonex).
The treatment was tolerable, I felt good afterward. I had SPF and TNS human growth factors applied to my face before I left the office. The next day upon waking before even opening my eyes, I knew there was swelling. I looked like a puffer fish. Red, scaly and pimpled, my face appeared to have been ravaged by a cheese grater.
My cheeks were really blown up, but not my eyes so I didn't freak out. I figured the swelling would dissipate gradually and I'd be able to go about my business, but wanted to hurry it along. I had a 3 day supply of steroids left over and am taking them on day 4. Day 5 the swelling and redness is so much better, puffer fish cheek is down by 25%.
Day 1 I used Biopelle serum and some post laser balm and continue to do so. I also added in a bit of Cannuka balm to my neck and chest area. Whether it is the balm or the steroids, there is less redness and irritation on my neck upon waking day 5. I think allergy issues may have contributed to my less than stellar reaction. I am looking into buying a skin barrier repair cream to see if I can expedite recovery of my skin.
After reading about the potential pitfalls such as systemic hypersensitivity I think I am going to pass on my prepaid sessions in the future. I don't have any before pix, but am providing 2 day 5 pix.
