so its day 5 if i am counting surgery day as day 1. Day 1 and 2 were super easy. day 3 and 4 sucked because i was so bored and found it hard to sleep at night and didnt look very pretty bc of all the swelling. lol Plus i had no one to talk to since im recovering alone! I didnt have much pain at all which was suprising. My breast augmentation was 100 times worse haha. Brusing was also minimal, quickly went to yellow by day 4/5. Stopped my pain meds on day 4 and switched to tylenol pm at night. i was basically just taking them to help me sleep. It was so hard to sleep with an open mouth the first two nights bc i would wake up so dry, but my nose cleared out enough for my to breathe after day 2 so that was good.
Today is day 5 and feel better today dont look AS scary haha. eyes are still swollen so one eye looks lower than the other which im sure will resolve with time. Just watch tv, go on my computer, listen to music to pass the time. I dont really go out of the hotel much because i dont want to scare people haha.
I get my cast off on wed and today is mon. Im super nervous i hope i like it!!
if i feel energic today or tomorrow i might venture out , but my nose runs alot when i move around and its hard to clean while walking with a cast on!
I still can get over how great the staff is here , they made me feel like they truely cared about and i wasnt "just a number." and you can tell they love their jobs. I remember before i went under, i was so nervous my pulse was 130 haah and the nurse took my hand and held is which seemed to help calm me down. Deb is amazing, love her!

Thats wonderful that you had such a great experience. I thought of staying in a hotel but decided to have my husband wait on me. The kids didn't freak out like I thought they would. Anyway splint off tomorrow! Don't worry about the real. As we have seen, it takes months sometimes

thank you! its great you had your husband and kids to be with you, im sure it would make it easier. But i didnt have that option :P I hope you love your new nose :) did you have much swelling or bruising?
September 17, 2012
No and Impleasantly surprised. Day 1 I was fine, cute even. Day 2 & 3 I had some slight swelling that moved to my cheeks. Each day after the swelling subsided. Nothing black, blue, yellow, or red. I don't know what lies beneath the splint but I don't see any reason why I can't go back to work after removal. I am still slight stuffy though and I don't have all my smell senses back either

Day 9 or 10. I feel like everyone says it should take 7-10 days to look presentable and its so far from the truth. I am a healthy 25 year old I still have dissolvable sutures in my eyelids and my nose and one eyelid is inflammed and red and both eyes burn and water everyday. My nose so far looks horrible from the front because of uneven swelling and i look very "plastic" because my upper lip area wont move so i cant smile. I broke out in whole body acne as well. so im not having a good go and so far i just hide indoors. Im just hoping by the end of week two i will look better! Im sure it will get better its just frustrating how long the healing process takes!
