Had hoped this would be the end of my nightmare but I was wrong - Seattle, WA

After initially loving my nose when I got the cast off in July of 2015 after my primary (with a different surgeon), I was devastated when my nose transformed as the year went on. I hated my retracted nostrils, the inverted-v and the bumpy bridge that emerged. I didn't look like me anymore. I hated the way it photographed and it just crushed my self-esteem. I began doing research and I'm so glad I came across Dr. Portuese. I was really impressed by some of his revisions I found on RealSelf and on his website. I also just felt like I could trust him after I met him in person and he gave me all the time I needed to ask him a million questions, show him pictures, discuss my concerns and what my hopes for the revision.
The day I woke up from surgery, I could already tell my nostrils were improved 100% and now with the cast off, I see my old self in the mirror again. You can't put a price on that. I am so incredibly grateful. I would recommend Dr. P to anyone!

Just wanted to share some side-by-sides to give some more perspective on the improvements I'm seeing already by day 7. Dr. Portuese used skin from my ear to create grafts to bring my retracted nostrils down and added spreader grafts from my own cartilage in my nose. I had the stitches removed from my ear yesterday that was a little painful, but not horrible. Overall, I'm loving my results so far!

I forgot to add Dr. Portuese also tucked in my columella. It started to droop as the year went on which from the front revealed my scar from my primary (this revision was closed though, thankfully). I also hated my columella from the side. My nose just started to take on such a strange appearance. I hated the thickness of the bridge at the top, my flared nostrils when I smiled and at rest and the weird shape my columella took on. I also developed some bumps along the upper bridge of my nose that I'm not sure were bone or cartilage, but because of my thin skin they eventually created shadow in some pictures and you can very slightly see them in some profile pictures. Happy to say goodbye to this nose that I've worn for over a year.??????????????
