I am seeing Lauren at The Larabee Aesthetic Center for IPL Photo Facial treatments. My neck was burned during CO2 laser surgery in 2011 by a surgeon in Kirkland. Finding the Larabee Aesthetic center and Lauren has been a blessing. With every treatment I see improvement. Prior to seeing Lauren I had a very distinct line halfway down my neck. The upper portion of my neck had lost all pigmentation from the burn and the lower half was red. The damage was very noticeable and my self esteem was low. I also had what I compare to a turkey waddle of atrophied skin in the center. The treatments have worked very well. I can go out in public now without being embarrassed.

I also have Co2 damage on my face. I have indented lines almost like cat scratches. I have also been desperately searching for help. Did you get any other treatments besides ipl? I am glad to hear things are improving for you.

I had a neck lift to try to lift and hide the damaged skin under my neck. After that I started with the IPL. I have been doing that every 6-8 weeks. The damage is still there and will always be. The skin on my upper neck is completely white with some red indentation lines under my chin area which could be described as cat scratches. The pigment is gone except for the red lines in the cat scratches. I have to be very careful in the sun because the lower half of the neck will get color but the top half that was damaged will not. The IPL is helping to reduce the look of the white skin by softening the appearance skin on the lower half of my neck and blending the two together. I know how upset I have been so I really feel for you. I see the damage every morning when I get up. Thank goodness the IPL treatments are starting to help.

I'm sorry you were burned during a procedure but glad you've found something that's worked for you.  How often are you treated?  Please keep us updated and feel free to share pics, if you're comfortable.
