I'm really happy with my results. I wanted a plastic surgeon that performed mainly facelifts, but I had difficulty finding someone like that in this area. When I visited PS websites, it appeared that most surgeons in this area do breast implants, tummy tucks and liposuction, so I chose Dr. Portuese because he does only face procedures and has good reviews.

Allie - The years have been knocked off! I love your results and think you look amazing!!! Hope the rest of your healing continues to go as well as the last two weeks.
your last pictures look fantastic. Great results
Allie1974, the beautiful thing about your facelift results is that you look like yourself but truly 10 years younger! You have a totally refreshed look about you that speaks volumes about how good the work was. Awesome!
Thanks!! Hope everything is going well with you.
Thank you! I'm glad is over with...it will be a while before I feel totally normal again that's for sure.
You look amazing!!!!!
Allie, I love your results and radiant smile -- you look so beautiful, rejuvenated and YOUNG!!! How are you feeling now? Are you experiencing any discomfort or pain anywhere? I can't believe how fantastic you look at two weeks post-op. Congrats on such a fab outcome!
Thank you. I am feeling great. I still have some discomfort around my ears--they feel like someone is pulling on them and I have tightness/numbness in my neck and jaw, but I can tell it is slowly diminishing.

Can't wait to see my face in another 7 days

Hurry up and wait! That's the name of the game. It is frustrating because I just want to take a magic pill and have all of the swelling, numbness, and bruising disappear so I can get back to life as usual.

Just wanted to let you know you look fantastic! Your whole face just now makes your eyes pop. You'll be very pleased when the wait is over. We're all in the same boat needing and wanting to just move on with life now! And it looks like your surgeon did a great job with the sutures by your ears; they should disappear well when they heal. You'll never know they were there!
Btw you are looking great!!
How is it going today Allie996? Your pics are truly beautiful...hope you are feeling better
Hi Leval59, Thanks for the compliments. I think the pictures may be more flattering than what I truly look like. I am doing pretty good today. I'm back to work--although I work from home thankfully. My neck feels a little less tight today which is nice, but my incision lines feel really tight and uncomfortable. I can't wait to feel my neck/jaw again--It's driving me nuts. How are you doing?
Your looking good compared to me 5/28 deep plane face lift dermabrasion and fat transfer to cheeks, folds and lips, oh yea under eyes
Thanks! You will get there. Patience seems to be the name of the game!
You look wonderful for only one week of healing. Based on your great results at this stage, I think you are going to be super happy once all the swelling subsides. Just curious here but did your weight go up and then down at some point in your 40's? I've noticed that women who have had some big shifts in their weight in their 40's, 50's and 60's develop some kind of skin laxity compared to those who have had no major changes in their weight. Thanks for sharing your story.
Hi Torontochick, My weight hasn't fluctuated much more than 8-10 lbs. I think it's just genetics and personal preference as far as wanting to do PS early or waiting. I just decided to go ahead and do it because I felt younger than I believed I looked. I think I will be happy too, once swelling is gone. Thanks for your comments.
Hi Allie - I am also in my 40's and have some issues with my lower face and neck that I would like to correct. In my case I gained weight and am having problems with saggy looking skin as I lose the unwanted pounds. I've also noticed this year that my facial muscles are shifting downward (sigh). Once I reach my goal weight I've decided to wait until the summer of 2014 to see if any of the skin laxity issues resolve at all (wishful thinking, I fear). If my skin hasn't bounced back to my satisfaction I will go ahead and have a facelift. I don't want to force myself to wait until I am 50 to have surgery if I am that unhappy with my appearance a few years shy of that milestone. I'll be keeping my eye out for your updates as you continue to heal. Even though you looked attractive before you had surgery, I can already see the difference from having a facelift. You do look have a more youthful & refreshed appearance - no doubt about it. :)
