Always being relatively flat-chested, my breasts...

Always being relatively flat-chested, my breasts completely deflated after weight loss and even after putting weight back on, I could barely fit into an A cup. I was so unhappy with how I looked without a bra on and didn't feel feminine. I was very hesitant to get breast augmentation, and it wasn't until after I met with Dr. Peters that I realized it was the right choice for me. Dr.Peters made me feel so comfortable and also made sure I had a clear and concise vision for how I wanted the results to look. I was extremely nervous for the procedure, and the pain that would follow during recovery. Of course recovery is not comfortable, but it wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be. I was fine to leave the house and go back to everyday life within a week. Also, I was nervous that it would take months before my breasts looked nice/ normal after the surgery, but I thought they looked great just a week or two after! If I had to do the procedure all over again I would in a second. I'm glad I went with a smaller size (265 cc) silicone, than I initially was going to. I also went with medium profile instead of high profile which I also think was a better decision. It's a mistake to try to choose your implant size based on what bra cup size you want, go with your gut instinct when you try the sizers on at the doctor in the sports bra they give you. Also keep in mind how they'll look in push up bras, low cut tops, ect. - Overall I am so happy with my results and the entire process, again I can't stress enough that it is not nearly as scary as it seems!

Your results look beautiful! I love the size you chose- perfect for your frame, which actually looks very similar to my frame so your before/after pictures are helpful to me! I was wondering what placement you chose- over the muscle or under? Also how are the implants feeling softness-wise? Im worried about them feeling hard or unnatural to the touch (one of my friends has saline implants that feel rather tight but i heard that silicon are better). How do they feel inside your body? Like do they feel like your own breasts? sorry for all the questions! I'm just in the beginning stages of deciding on breast augmentation & I love hearing opinions of those who have already been through it!

Thank you so much!! I went with moderate profile underneath the muscle which I heard gives you a more natural look and feel. My implants feel pretty soft now! One of my breasts has always felt a little softer, but the difference isn't that noticeable. At first they were definitely stiff but they soften up faster than you think, and the massages your doctor will show you helps a lot. I don't think breasts with implants will ever feel as soft as breasts without them, but breasts with implants have so many other positive things- like for one they are perky enough to go braless, I think mine look best in clothes without a bra! That being said, don't stress so much about the softness because they definitely get soft within the first couple months. Honestly its hard remembering back to how it felt when I first got them, but I never remember feeling weird having them inside me, I think it was just weird seeing myself with breasts! But its not as if you ever feel the implants when you're just sitting there. I truly can't imagine not having them and I want to say within just a week of having them I couldn't remember what it was like to be flat-chested. They 100% feel like my own breasts, and since I did unders I can feel my natural breast tissue when I touch them. I was wearing an A cup bra before surgery and since the surgery I've worn bras that range from a 34 B to a 32 D, however I would consider myself a C cup. But it really depends on the bra/ where I'm buying the bra from. Honestly I go braless a lot of the time. Don't apologize for the questions at all! It's a huge decision and I had sooo many questions before the surgery so I understand completely. Let me know if you have any more questions!

Also what was your beginning & ending cup sizes? I'm an A and hope to be somewhere around a mid C

I just got 265 cc mod+ profile, and I am really happy with my results. I am only a week out from surgery though. Hoping mine look as good as yours do at 6 months post op. What size bra do you wear now? I was a AAA before BA...crazy! Hoping to at least be a B once I can start wearing bras.

Wow one week out is nothing- they're so new it's still pretty tough to get an idea for what they'll look like. I remember during my first week mine were so firm and looked smaller than they did just even two weeks out, so if you aren't loving your results right now don't panic!! I remember when I was still on my painkillers/ on bed rest my first few days I was an emotional wreck because I was so worried my results weren't what I wanted them to be. I did 265 mod profile as well, under the muscle. Honestly I wore an A cup bra before surgery but I barely filled it out at all, when I first started to buy bras I went to victoria secret and I got a few 34 B bras, 32 C's and 34 C's- but the bra that I wear most of the time now that I recently purchased is a 32 D, which I was never expecting to wear! But it's odd because I feel like it depends so much on the bra/ where you're purchasing the bra from. Thats why its basically impossible to base your size choice on the cup size you want to be. I had that issue majorly, I was really nervous to pick a size unless I knew for sure I'd be a C cup but my doctor stressed that thats not the way to do it. All that being said I would be very surprised if you didn't fit into a C cup bra from victoria secret. Congrats on being done with your surgery, and remember this is only the beginning!! -oh and PS a little tip, my doctor said I couldn't wear underwire bras until after 6 months so I bought a ton of bras with underwire (because a lot of the ones without underwire weren't pretty or sexy) but then I removed the underwire from the bras which was really easy!

As of now I'm really loving the size, so hopefully I'll love them even more once they settle. I really didn't refer to bra size with my PS when we initially talked sizes, because I know everyone is different and have different results with the same cc's, but I did mention to him right before surgery that I didn't want to end up with just an A cup. I wanted to make it worth it without going too big for my small frame. I feel like I got the perfect size. I'm not supposed to wear underwire for a while as well and I'm not supposed to wear any bra for the first 2 weeks. I am excited to try on bras when it comes that time since I haven't been able to buy a bra in an actual store for at least 5 years. I was so small I had to order them online. Glad those days are over!

I'm out for 9 days and got 325cc in the left and 350 in the right, due to make it look even. For some reason, I had super weird feelings about them being too small. Although I was an A cup before. After looking at different posts/pictures, I feel that they look bigger at the end. About 3 months or so. Would you say the same? You have great results by the way.
By doctor hasn't said anything about massaging them just yet, but I have to go back in two weeks and will make sure to ask him.

A few days after my surgery I remember being hysterical thinking I had just gone through so much to come out with breasts that didn't look "that much bigger"- I remember I even overheard my mom saying that she was surprised they looked the size they did. But yes there is definitely a huge turnaround once when soften up and relax more and sort of slip into your breast pocket. Initially it seems that most people's bodies are in shock, making the implants hard and high up which definitely make them look smaller I think. Also, when you're barely over a week out its hard to know what they'll look like in sexy push up bras/ low cut tops, ect. Once I was able to start trying on lingerie and bikinis I was really shocked at how big they could look. Even though the size I chose isn't very big, there are still definitely outfits that I can't wear because they make my cleavage look so extreme, so you'll be surprised trust me! I was instructed to start massaging mine a week out, and it truly helped so much. I was also told that massaging them religiously in the first month was crucial. Good luck and congratulations !!! It's a very exciting time and it only gets better :)

Thanks for your feedback. I appreciate it. And I can totally relate to what you just wrote. I was almost a little depressed. Cause you have this thinking "I'm going through this for some perfect breasts" and then a couple days later, it's not all that. Patience is something I am not really good at, so I had to tell myself over and over again, to give it time. It hasn't even been 2 weeks! But the doctor warned me in the consultation and pre OP. I will definitely look up the massaging part on YouTube and ask my doctor about it. I heard and read about it so much. Did you ice yours? I feel that every surgeon does this procedure different? A lot of girls mentioned drain tubes, my doctor was totally against it. I knew two girls that chose the same doctor and had great results. Are you 100% healed and satisfied with yours?
August 16, 2014
I think I did ice mine a bit in the very beginning actually, I think that helps a little with the swelling but you're right that most of it is just playing the waiting game. It's very hard to be patient with something like this, I totally get it! And I agree with you it does seem that every surgeon has their own methods and instructions for how to take care of them after surgery. I didn't need draining tubes, I think usually they are only necessary if the implant is pretty big or the surgery is more intense, like if someone is switching out implants or something. Its been about 6 months since my surgery and I am very satisfied with my results and have been for a while now. One of my breasts has always been a little harder than the other which sometimes bugs me, but when I look at my before pictures I can see that the breast thats harder is shaped a little differently than the other one, so I think thats just my body and how that breast took to the implant. But yea at this point there is never any pain or discomfort and my body is definitely very used to them. I love them more than ever because they really seem to fit my body and lately I feel like they look very natural in most of my outfits. I don't really pay any attention to my scars because they're right under the breast so you can't see them. It's hard to not analyze them like crazy all the time within the first month or two, but eventually I think as you get more used to them you stop critiquing so much and start really enjoying them.

I'm going in tomorrow for my BA. I have a wider chest than you I think - 36 inches. I am debating between 275 and 300 sil under the muscle mod plus. I want a natural look - not too big. You look amazing! Is be so happy to have your results.
August 11, 2014
It's very tough to make that decision! It also depends a lot on what you're starting with. I was debating between 265 and 300 cc, I think I would've been okay with 300 cc's, only if I didn't really wear anything with padding, because even with the 265 cc I can sometimes think the push-up bras make them look too big/ fake looking. It's very difficult to decide if you'd rather think you went too big or too small- I personally decided I'd rather come out thinking they were maybe smaller than I hoped for than bigger than I hoped for- even though either is definitely not ideal! But I really cannot stress enough it is all personal preference, I was very very nervous about mine looking too "obviously fake"- but now I have to be honest, I love them so much even if to some people they do look "fake" I could care less because I finally feel very confident with my clothes off and in a bathing suit. Go with your gut feeling- chances are you'll end up being extremely happy, its a great experience! And keep in mind don't panic if you think they look small or smaller than you were hoping for the first time you see them without the bandages on, their appearance really can chance quite a bit within the first week. Good luck and congratulations!!!! :)

Thank you so much for your reply. One if the PS residents asked me to think about whether I would be more disappointed if they were too big or too small. I think the answer is too big. Need to listen to my gut.
