Tummy tuck revision

On the 10th of this month I decided to get a tummy tuck revision without the muscle part (they were still AOK from my body lift in dec 2016.
I’m a week and a half post op and I feel amazing. I’m incredibly swollen everywhere I mean swell hell is quite real. However I have a completely flat stomach. No “pooch” which I’d coined the area above my moms region. I had a LOT of skin removed during my body lift (see my original pics) so it was one of those decisions of do we take extra and run the risk of popping sutures becauw it’s to much etc. I’m the end I’m so glad dr Peters made the call she did. I had very little issue with my original surgery and so far I’m doing very well this time. I got my one drain out yesterday (thank goodness) and have been quite active this time even walking around the mall for 3 hours yesterday to find some shoes for a funeral on Monday. If you’re looking for an amazing surgeon in Seattle. Mary Lee Peters is wonderful! (Both times)

7 weeks post op

Today I'm 7 weeks post op and feeling pretty good. I tried doing yoga for the first time since surgery and was not the best idea. I got two times as swollen as I've been since the first couple weeks. So I've decided to wait a few more weeks before I try again and stick with the trusty treadmill.
I decided to go and get some new jeans today and found that after trying on 3 different sizes I can comfortably fit into a size 8! I was a 12 pre surgery.
I'm still incredibly swollen. More in the evening than in the morning but I'm slowly getting back to my original routines.

So it looks like its been about a year since your surgery. How is everything going?

Even through all the very minor issues I had in the beginning I would still 100% do it all again. I still have a small pooch in the front so my tummy is not completely flat. My goal is to lose another 20lbs in the next year and if it’s still there I’ll have a small revision surgery. My surgeon removed almost 14lbs of skin a year ago. And it was either err on the side of caution and leave a little extra or remove more with the potential for wound complications. She made the correct decision because I didn’t have any wound issues at all. I’m currently at 169lbs. I wear a size 8 jeans and M top. My surgeon was amazing and am very glad I chose her.

How are things going now? I just had the surg and it is so hard to imagine feeling normal again. You were looking awesome! Are there any residual effects? Do you still swell? Was there anything that helped the swelling?

I put on a pair of yoga pants for the first time today. And for the first time in my entire adult life I liked what I saw staring back at me in the mirror. In my picture it was taken 3 weeks ago today and then today. Same yoga pants in both pics and same black shirt in both pics. I'm still incredibly swollen but loving the difference!!
Things are getting easier to do. I took a nap in my bed. First time since surgery that I've done more than perch on the edge of he bed.
I'm still walking a little hunched over but it's getting easier to stand up straight every day.
I only took one pain pill today (and yes I'm aware that most people one take them the first week. But I have this nerve pain in my thigh which is what I take them for) otherwise I just took Tylenol. I'm hoping to be able to drive by the end of the week.

Wonderful results! I love the before and after in yoga pants! Those pictures really show how significant a change the surgery made. It's such a wonderful feeling to like what you see in the mirror.
