I had a lap band placed 6 years ago and lost 100lbs. I have been at 185 for the past two years. I have a LOT of extra skin. Mostly in the front. Im so excited and nervous at the same time for the procedure that's coming up in two weeks.

I've been trying to research all the things I'll need when I get home. Have a motorized recliner already but still trying to figure out the rest.

Shower chair, lots of pillows, comfy nightgowns, and a helping hand! Best of luck I'm 11 days post op myself!

All the nerves are coming out now. I'm so ready for this and so not ready all at the same time. I'm 99% sure I'll have everything I need for when I get home. Just need to get my pain meds filled.

I'm nervous about how it's all going to look when everything is done. Will it be as good as I'm hoping it will be. How much pain will I be in. Will the dumb snow hold off for just a. Lipless more weeks!!!

If anyone has as tips on must have items please do share

My body shape before my LBL was similar to yours. All I wanted was my deflated butt to not hang and my gut to not flop between my legs when I sat down. Got all that and more, 5 months out I am still delighted. Scar? Don't care. Cost? Worth the investment in yourself. Down time for recovery? Part of the process, follow your instructions to a "T" and heal well! Best of wishes!

Very well done on achieving the hard part in losing such an enormous amount in weight. You should by now have undergone surgery to remove quite a few handfuls of excess skin. Just think that soon the new slim line you will be revealed with the excitement of seeing your belly button and your toes again. Marvellous.
I'll not make light of the recovery which will take quite some time.
However I'm sure all will be well worth it and your efforts rewarded with you far, far happier in yourself, the emotional joy of not hiding your body, or of not being hidden by baggy clothes. A look in the mirror will be a part of your day to look forward to.
Very well done so far. I wish you good healing and a successful recovery.
