Disappointing Experience with Dr. Michael P. Lafkas

After conducting thorough research, I found Dr. Michael P. Lafkas listed on this site as the only reference to his name and practice. Unfortunately, my experience with him left much to be desired. During my visit to his office at 347 Main Street Suite C, Seal Beach, CA on May 9th, 2024, I expressed concerns about the lines on the sides of my face. Despite his assurances that he would treat me as he would his mother, I found his approach insensitive and dismissive. As a woman not old enough to be his mother, I was taken aback by his comparison, as I am not much older than him. Moreover, his decision to administer Sculptra on my forehead, an area I had no issue with, and refusal to address the concerns I had about my lower face was concerning. The filler he injected left me with significant bruising on both sides, causing me to miss several weekend events and leaving visible marks even a week later. Most disappointingly, the treatment yielded no visible results, leaving me regretful of my decision to trust Dr. Lafkas. Trust your instincts and carefully consider your options before entrusting your appearance to him."

Did you sat you had Sculptra injections? If so, Sculptra can take several months to notice any visible results. Sculptra is definitely not the filler you should have chosen if you were looking for something immediate. I'm not sure if Sculptra can be put in your neck so that's definitely on the doc. Maybe when he compared your treatment to that of his mother he simply meant with kindness and love not with consideration for age. Finally, I've had Sculptra injected since 2019 and I cannot think of a single time where I did not bruise even slightly. I'm surprised he didn't explain brusing as a possibility. Don't get Sculptra if you want immediate results!

I thought the results aren't supposed to be visible until 2-3 months after treatment? When did you have the treatment?

Consider yourself lucky ! Many have had terrible issues with it like me . It destroyed my face ! Don’t do it again . FYI scultra in the forehead is not where it should be placed . He doesn’t know what’s he’s doing ! Don’t go back to him and do not do sculptra again .
Can you please tell if you have made a before and after comparison after 2-months? I would like to learn more about product before undergoing myself.
