I love Juvederm but I have recently learned that results are dependent on who is injecting you. I get subtle lip enhancement, marionette line filler and a "liquid facelift". Choose wisely and you'll love the result.

I've been to Aesthetic Laser Care 4 times for filler, touch up on filler and botox over the last several years and I have always been thrilled. Dr. Mike is fantastic and has done all of my injections, but I would definitely go to Rocio...my friend does and she looks awesome. They only do work that looks very natural, which is what I need. If you want duck lips-go elsewhere! Once I asked Dr. Mike if I needed more filler in my upper lip and he said, "You don't want to look like Marge Simpson!! LOL. He also does the very subtle "liquid facelift" with microbeads of juvederm---it is amazing!!! My whole face was just lifted ever so slightly! I feel so pretty when I leave his office. And he is great with injections-very fast and very accurate to minimize pain.

I am in the mental health field and I need my results to be undetectable. Anything obvious would be picked up immediately by my clients and in my industry, it is very bad for business to look like you've had work! I know one therapist who is a laughing stock because her face is so obviously altered. We promote healing/strength and self-esteem from within-so it just doesn't send the right message! But I feel like a tiny little help to look refreshed is a great thing! Next up...laser hair removal!

I moved to the South and found a reputable doctor to put in Juvederm in my cheek area.
Wow. It looks worse. There are some lumps and gaps. Thankfully, the Juvederm will dissipate.

Be careful with who does your fillers.

I won't trust anyone else besides Dr. Lafkas.

For years I've had deep wrinkles around my eyes and mouth due to sun damage and genetics. The doctor informed me about a procedure called Fractional CO2 that smooths and resurfaces the skin. He warned me that the downtime is 7-10 days. I've never had anything aggressive done to my skin and was nervous when he showed me photos of the procedure. It seemed intense.

Before the treatment, the nurse spent an hour talking to me about post care while I was numbing and waiting for the medication to kick in. The procedure itself was tolerable. Some areas hurt more than others. After the treatment, my face was red, swollen and oozing. Days 4-7 my skin scabbed over and itched terribly, days 7-10 my skin was healed but mostly pink. I'm 3 months post-procedure and my skin looks amazing! The wrinkles around my eyes and mouth are signifcantly less noticeable. Over all my skin is tighter, feels softer and I've received compliments saying I look 10 years younger.

After conducting thorough research, I found Dr. Michael P. Lafkas listed on this site as the only reference to his name and practice. Unfortunately, my experience with him left much to be desired. During my visit to his office at 347 Main Street Suite C, Seal Beach, CA on May 9th, 2024, I expressed concerns about the lines on the sides of my face. Despite his assurances that he would treat me as he would his mother, I found his approach insensitive and dismissive. As a woman not old enough to be his mother, I was taken aback by his comparison, as I am not much older than him. Moreover, his decision to administer Sculptra on my forehead, an area I had no issue with, and refusal to address the concerns I had about my lower face was concerning. The filler he injected left me with significant bruising on both sides, causing me to miss several weekend events and leaving visible marks even a week later. Most disappointingly, the treatment yielded no visible results, leaving me regretful of my decision to trust Dr. Lafkas. Trust your instincts and carefully consider your options before entrusting your appearance to him."
