Ready for my Confidence Back - Scottsdale, AZ

After having my first child I had a lot of weight to lose. I gained about forty pounds. I didn't really care about my stretch marks but the hanging skin I could not handle. I had my second child two years later and lost 55 pounds. I felt great about losing the weight but my stomach looked really bad still so it eventually caused me to lack motivation and I gained most of it back. I finally decided I really wanted a tummy tuck and to get rid of all the extra hanging around my tummy. I knew it would restore my confidence as a woman and help to keep my fitness motivation up since I would actually be able to have something to show for all my hard work.

So I have two kids and it took a huge toll on my body, my belly in particular. I would do it again in a heartbeat but I am sick and tired of this hanging skin. It look a lot of thought but I decided I didn't want to live with it forever. It took a lot to get my husband on board but after that it was final....I would finally feel like myself as a woman again.

I was terrified the morning of my surgery. It took a lot to not chicken out but I figured I didn't go this far to turn back now. The first day was not too bad. The second day I made the mistake of not staying on top of my pain meds and was in terrible pain until I got it under control again. It has helped me so much being on here and reading everyone's stories. It has been very encouraging. I should have known better than to wait on the meds from my other real self friends on here. The Dr took the drain out on day five and it didn't hurt at all. He also put new strips on my incision. I have an appointment next week so hopefully all is still good!
