I had been thinking about this for awhile, but still had some reservations. I gained a significant amount of weight with my daughter and things just haven't looked the same since! I came across Realself during my initial research. Scoured through reviews of doctors, pictures, checked med board stats, and read tons of other websites. Came across Dr. Repta and immediately sent an inquiry. I got a quick response, and scheduled a consult. Afterwards I knew he was the perfect doctor for me. His attention to detail and vision he had was exactly what I was looking for! I scheduled my surgery for the following month. I'm currently 3days post-op and am feeling great. I saw my stomach for the first time today, already impressed, and I know its gonna get even better! My incision is super low and is thin and straight! Recovery has been way better than I thought it would be! It's all about keeping focused on the outcome! So far so good! I am so thankful I did this.

Post-Op Day 1 through 3

A little more about me!! I turn 30 in a few weeks, so this was def a present for myself! I gained 80 pounds while pregnant, after finally getting back to around pre-pregnancy weight, nothing looked the same!!!!! Diet and the gym was shrinking everything but my stomach!! I underwent a tummy tuck, muscle repair, and lipo of flanks! I have to say this has been much easier than I thought!! I wasn't sure if I wanted to chart my progress on here, but reading all the teviews before mine was a huge help so I figured it was only fair! It's day 4, so I'm playing catch up and will give my thoughts through day 3! Day of surgery was easy, got home, had a few visitors to help get my 2 year old adjusted to mommy's owie. Slept ok through the night. Was getting in and out of bed by myself, slowly but was fine. I am wearing a binder and have 1 drain. The nurse at the hospital gave me an awesome pointer for the bathroom. She said to sit on it backwards as if it was a horse, and to use the tank to push myself up after. Worked like a charm, and I'm 5'10 so for the shorter people it will be even easier! Day 2- Wasn't too bad. Was taking the pain pill and antibiotic only. Skipped the muscle relaxers as I didn't feel I needed them. Was up and walking around periodically as directed. Later in the afternoon everything started to tighten up and was a bit harder to get out of bed so I finally took a muscle relaxer. Everyone said it would knock me out but nope, not me, instead I had a Netflix marathon! That night my lil one snuck past her sitter and slept in my bed. It was actually ok, and was nice to have her close! Day 3- My mom flew in as planned. We went to my first post-op appt and I got to see it with the binder off. So amazing! Obviously swollen as expected, but you can tell how great the shape and contouring is really going to be. Even my mom, who is sooo anti-plastic surgery was impressed! Went to lunch afterwards, picked up the little one from school, and then came home and I took the best nap ever! Something about knowing the little one was being watched by grandma makes me able to sleep much better! Slept awesome through the night too. Waking up only to use the bathroom and to walk around a bit. And I swear I've never peed so much in my life than in the past few days!!! My only complaint is gas bubbles. Between the fasting before surgery, eating light after, and the pain meds it kinda screws everything up. But nothing unbearable just an ackward feeling! I'll add pics and update day 4 when its shower time tonight!
