My 3 month post of photos!

WORTH IT$15,000
Hi everyone!
I had my surgery on November 21st, 2014 so I am approaching four months here. I feel well and continue to power walk on a flat surface or on an incline with my treadmill and watch what I eat. Although, I had two milkshakes form In N Out burger last week. Ahhh, so good. Neapolitan style. I could just feel it surging through my body, it was that yummy.
Last Friday I went in for my last appointment and had photos taken. When I arrived home there was an email waiting for me with my before and after photos. Wow, what a difference. I feel like I struck gold when I found Dr. Repta on this website. I have been so blessed to not have any serious complications or minor ones at that. I know sometimes despite the surgeon's best efforts our bodies go haywire and we experience them. For those of you that have, I do pray for you and ask that you continue to look up and know that you will get through it and in the end all worth it. :-)
I have been going once a week, I wish I could go more, for a lymphatic healing massage here in Scottsdale, AZ. It is called the Lymphatic Healing Center, and the massage I receive is 90 minutes long and so wonderful. I received the doctor's blessing on it as I was three months out and his office gave me the okay. I purchased a package of five massages for $500. I thought that was a good deal. I have never, ever had any massage before, that is from a trained LMT.
My life is almost back to normal. I say almost, because my belly is still tight and when I sneeze or when I laugh at something very funny I can feel the tightness alright.
I wish I could start some weight training to define my arms, but again, I still don't feel comfortable lifting yet. I have read on here that we shouldn't do any core workout for almost 6 months or longer. Has anyone else read that? I wish I would have remembered to have asked my surgeon about that.
I am still maintaining my weight of 120-1123. I am really excited about that.
I am going to be signing off for a while. I receive email updates from the gals and guy that I follow.
God's richest blessings on all of you as you continue your journey and heal.
Hugs, gentle and alike to all of the wonderful people I have come to know on this so helpful website. My son says, "Mom you're not on Facebook, but you post these pictures of yourself on here. I don't get it?" There is something about this forum that is welcoming and nonjudgmental and that makes a huge difference. I don't know anything about Facebook, but I feel comfortable here. :-)))

You look great! How often do you wear your binder?
February 23, 2015
Hi Happy Wife Al! Good to hear from you. I have been wearing it pretty much non stop, unless I shower. Sometimes I wear shape wear, but usually wear the surgical compression garment that I now own six of, can you believe that?!? LOL When I work out, I need the support so I wear two of them one upper and one lower in the tummy. I don't want to have to wash them everyday.
I am going to start weaning myself off of them. It's been three months and I have to start distinguishing from a psyschological need as to a physical need for wearing it.
Thanks for visiting! :-)

Thanks for the break down and I can see where having a variety makes life easier. I finally have a sx date, so I started documenting my own journey now. So I'm reading up now more than ever. :-)

Hi Disney, you are looking amazing. That really isn't the body of a 50 year old. It feels great to be able to go for a long walk and enjoy it doesn't it. I would never even think of doing so before losing the weight and starting this journey, but now I can't wait to go.
Keep improving and taking the photos, by this summer you are going to be really stunning.

8th and Embrace Treatment
Disney21February 10, 2015
Hi Everyone!
The weather here in Phoenix, Glendale, Peoria and Scottsdale, AZ is really beautiful! We are in the low 80's and blue skies as far as the eye can see. I am sorry for all of my midwestern and east coast friends on RS who are being pummeled with snow, especially in the Boston area. I simply can't comprehend that.
Last Friday I saw Dr. Repta, for the final application of my Embrace tape. I asked him, "Is this it?" He said no and to make an appointment in about for weeks to take my post office photos. I'll have to remember to buy some cute underwear. Hee, hee, hee. I asked him if he thought my bb was too small and he gave me a sheepish grin and I quickly said, "I guess I should rephrase that and say, I think my BB is kind of on the small side." We both got a chuckle on that. He went on to say that he errors out of caution and goes small because it is easier to do a revision in the office than fix a large round bb. I agreed and I looked at my bb in the mirror and said it's fine. I will leave well enough alone.
My left side is looking really nice. Beautiful curve, but my right is still swollen at least I hope it is because it does not look symmetrical. I mentioned this to him, and he said it's probably swelling, but it could be the final outcome because our bodies are not symmetrical. Either way it looks way better than it did. I am just being picky and have to remind myself I am 50 not in my late teens or early 20's or just plain pre baby anymore.
I went without my surgical cg pretty much all day on Sunday and wore a Hanes shape wear and survived it! I really felt like I turned another corner. However, I continue to wear two surgical cgs one on my upper tummy and one on my lower tummy. I still wear them to bed. On another note I am sleeping without a pillow under my legs. I don't feel any pulling of my muscles. Another mini milestone. I also vacuumed my master bedroom this morning and our foyer upstairs and felt fine. Saturday I walked 3.5 miles in my neighborhood and yesterday, Monday, Feb. 9, I walked almost 3 miles on an incline and felt good too. No pulling sensation. So I am so pleased and really all around delighted.
I am going to have my daughter take some photos so you can see my waist and the asymmetrical curves. I still am maintaining a weight of 120-123. Overall, I haven't lost much weight, but just looking better in my clothing. My brother asked me the other day if I was loosing weight and I told him not really.
I am going to post some photos of my in my work out clothes before getting on the treadmill. KEEP IN MIND I AM WEARING MY SURGICAL COMPRESSION GARMENT UNDERNEATH. You will see a bulge from it. LOL
I am wish you all a great week and please keep warm and safe in your part of the country.
Blessings to all of my sweet wonderful supportive RSers! xoxoxo

Hi Disney
Great update and pics. So pleased that life is getting back to normal for you. Take care and God bless. ;)
February 11, 2015
Hi Disney, high 90's to 105 expected till the weekend, thank God for airconditioning. Glad you are still coming along well, those photos show a great profile. The swelling will take time but it does improve. Hang in there, you are looking good.
February 11, 2015
Hi imath, thanks for stopping by and encouraging me. :-)
You have that right about air conditioning, we'd be so miserable without it! Mine hasn't kicked on, it is so dry here and cools down beautifully. In fact, I have my ceiling fan at medium speedand my upstairs windows partially open.
I am looking forward to the day when I don't even have to wear shape wear much less the surgical cg. But all in good time, I remind myself. I am also mindful that the information I was sent home with, that is the post operative info, mentions that it could take a good 3-6 months to have all of the swelling subside from any liposuction. My PS performed some on my upper and lower tummy and flanks. So yeah, you are right about the swelling "mate." I hope that was okay to use? Is that more British than Aussie? Xoxoxo :-)
February 11, 2015
G'day, it is a true Aussie greeting (Male or Female).
I had a phone call from my PS today, and he wants to see me tomorrow to take photos and to fit me with either another Binder or a Vest ( which ever will fit better at Post-Op? Only 3wks to go and I can't wait.

Haven't checked in a while.....you are looking absolutely fabulous!!!! I'll have to get around to an update, but I am loving my new shape! Still swelling especially at the back end of my incision and hoping it calms down eventually, but overall very happy!!!
