Four months later, my hair has not recovered from the shock loss. My attempts to grow back my hair has been met with little success. I have tried castor oil, hair growth laser and shampoo. The doctor response to my post, indicating it may be something else, aggravated me. I experienced the hair loss 8 weeks after the prp injections.its either his technique or the treatment. Thats it.
Prior to receiving the treatment, I had asked the doctor if shock hair loss is a possibility and he stated NO. However, his acknowledgment of the rarity of shock loss from prp corroborates that he knew of this risk and opted not to inform me. Whether it rare or not, its still a possibility. I will rather get a root canal than go back this doctor for a resolution. I don't trust him.

Hair loss from PRP injections is very rare. Could you please contact the office and come in for evaluation so we can see if there are other issues to address, or see what we can do to help get you through this?

I recieved two prp sessions thicken my hair at Bosley Scottsdale. One in October of 2017. The other in January of 2018. My hair start fall out 8 weeks after the last session.I think it may shockloss but the doctor told me it's not a possible side effect. Almost two later, iDo not go to. Dr. Hekimian.

And how is your hair now? I have read some of the side effects and it does say it can happen. I am so sorry. I was going to try PRP bu now I am not so sure

I am so sorry you are going through this! You have my sympathy!! You just want antes thicker hair right? So you never had loss until you did the PRP? Or did you have a little hair thinning prior to the PRP?
