I wanted to turn the clock back. Wanted my outsides to the match the way I feel inside. I am healthy, happy & have a great life but every time I looked in the mirror, I cringed at the old woman I saw looking back at me. So I decided it was time to do something about it. I contacted Dr. Philpott, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in Scottsdale, AZ. A friend recommended him after having a "mommy makeover" done. She looked dynamite!! I was ready to do this. I considered it my last chance to transform myself. I continued working so I could pay for the things I wanted fixed. One year ago, I had a tummy tuck and liposuction on my hips. Next in December 2017, I had a facelift. And now, just 3 days ago, I had a Croton Oil Peel to erase the residual fine lines around my mouth, chin and eyes. Reading the day to day experience of others and seeing their photos, helped me tremendously. Helped me know what to expect, not freak out when looking at my face, and reassured me I was right on schedule. I hope seeing my photos and reading this will help others. I need to download my photos. Will start from day 1 of Croton Oil peel. The cost of my peel was part of a package so it's hard to breakout the cost of this one procedure but in order to post this I had to insert a number. I guessed at what the cost of just the peel might cost. It may be different than what I quoted here. Contact Dr P's office for a true quote.

Thank you for posting photos of your peel. I actually was thinking of getting a croton oil peel but no one in my area does this. What a difference the peel makes right? I think you look great after the peel.

After my December facelift, I still had small lines around my mouth, chin & under my eyes. MD said the Peel would erase those so I went for it. I was sedated for the procedure and don't remember a thing but it must have been painful because MD said I was complaining during the procedure. I don't remember being put in the car or the drive home. Husband put me in bed and I slept rest of the day and most of the night. Woke up once during the night and my face was burning so I took a pain pill & went back to bed. Next morning, burning had stopped. Took another pain pill before heading back to MD to remove tape. I was very nervous about the tape removal and was pleasantly surprised. I hardly felt it! Michelle, Dr P's asst, slathered ointment all over my face and we headed home. Face felt hot like a sunburn.. but not painful. Got home & rested. Next few days just relaxed and left everything settle down. Took one pain pill on day 3 because it was burning. Applying Aquaphor to my face helped a lot. Took a shower, washed my hair but didn't let water hit my face. Let it gently drip down my face and it felt amazing! By day 4, face was feeling better. No more pain pills. Showed and let water thoroughly rinse my face. I could see the healing and was very pleased. Yayyyy, my face was smooth!

Thank you for sharing your experience. I have been contemplating this procedure for more than a year now. I am hesitating because I would have to travel 3-4 hours to have it done. I can't wait to see your results and hear about your recovery process as it may help me make a decision. Good luck in your recovery.

My doctor was about an hour away. If you do it, probably best to get a hotel room for the first night to make it easy to return next day to have the tape removed. Of course you need someone to drive & be with you. After he removes the tape, then you can go home and recuperate. I didn't need to go back to see him for 10 days. Good luck, I hope this helps you. I'm thrilled with my results.

I have one scheduled in a month. it's part of my face lift procedure. I have acne scars and hoping they diminish with this life & the peel. - did you use ice packs when your face had burning sensation?

I didn't know they included that in a facelift but I'll check around for a Dr that does, thank you!

The peel was not part of my facelift. It was a separate procedure. Facelift took care of the sagging. The peel took care of the fine lines and renewed the texture of my face.

Making great progress now!

Day 5 was a little tricky. I could see my face was healing but it was bugging me. It itched but of course I couldn't scratch it without tearing the skin. So I used a tissue to touch the area that itched and kinda poke it. It kinda worked. Face felt hot, sunburned.. but not painful. I found pouring cool water across my face felt great so I did that every few hrs. Plus reapplying Aquaphor also helped calm everything down. Still sleeping great and mostly relaxing. Although I did start walking on my treadmill. I needed to move my body. By day 6, I was pleasantly surprised how much healing I saw. Pretty much did the same thing. Shower, let the water rinse over my head & face (felt wonderful), applied salve, stayed indoors to avoid sun, rest, good meals, etc. Healing was really picking up speed now! By day 7, I felt like myself again. I showed, styled my hair and even put a little lipstick on. And wow, I was sooo pleased with my face. Yes I still red but my skin was soooo smooth. No lines around my mouth, chin or under my eyes and even the bags under my eyes were gone. The peel did everything I hoped it would do. I traded one week of my life for a rejuvenated face. I texted a photo to one of my co-workers (she's been thinking about a facelift/neck lift) and she said "Wow, you erased even MORE YRS off your face." I agree. My 69th b'day is in August. Now I doubt anyone will guess I'm that old! I've been coloring my hair since I was in my mid 40's and tired of it so decided to stop. I'm going to let the grey grow! As long as I don't have a prune face, I don't care about having grey hair. I am sooo happy I did both, the facelift and the peel. They worked together beautifully to give me the result I wanted. Thank you Dr. Philpott, you are my hero!

You look amazing! Are you still happy with your results? I'm scheduled to have this done next month and trying to figure out how many days I would need to be off work. I'm thinking around 7,
hopefully that will be plenty. I am also really nervous because I'm in the sun a lot, have you had any problems with that? Thanks and Happy Birthday:)

Beautiful! You're so right about Gray hair not mattering if your face looks young. I would love to let mine grow in but I look much older than my age so forget that!
