WORTH IT$5,000
I first went to Dr. Ptak for a consult for a lip lift, in December of 2016. He said what I needed was facial fat transfer. He explained it would compensate for the loss of volume not only in my lips, but also other key areas of my face. It would cover the dark circles around my eyes, and plump the few wrinkles between my eyes and chin. It made sense, and I figured if it didn’t fill my top lip enough, I could always do the lip lift later. I was amazed at the before and after photos he showed me. I decided to review a few other doctors and think about it.

Flash forward to October of 2017. I still did not know if I was going to do the facial fat transfer, until something happened in my life earlier this year that made me decide to go ahead and do it. I needed to do something to boost my confidence and feel better about myself. I went with Dr. Ptak, he had good reviews and seemed very knowledgeable and I was so impressed with his befor and after pics. I called the office to schedule it along with the pre-op, and also pay the 20% down payment. My pre-op was November 9th. Michelle is Dr. Ptak’s assistant and she’s very helpful in explaining everything to me. I made the rest of the payment at that time also, and got prescriptions to get filled.

wow! even with all the bruising and swelling your results look great so far; you look "healthy" in the after photos with a lift like effect.

How long were you able to keep the fat before it all dissolved?

It lasted about a year. There are a few places where it didn't dissolve, mostly below my eyebrows.

Day of Procedure

So I can't figure out how to add to the first posting here, but on the day of treatment, Michelle had me take the meds which included two of the valium. I waited in a room til I got woozy, then she took me to the procedure room. I honestly can't remember if she gave me something else, but I was in sort of a twilight zone. I felt the needles for the local anesthetic, but didn't feel anything after that. I heard them talking, but can't remember any of it. I think I heard the needle going in here and there but it didn't bother me. Before I knew it they were finished, after about 3 hours. It may have been less, I may have slept in there for a while. They harvested fat from my abdomen, I have quite a large hematoma on the left side from it. It's a little sore, but not bad. My face is quite swollen and painful, and am having trouble talking and moving it. The prescription pain meds helped a lot.

I am really liking my lips and the arch in my eyebrows, I didn't even know he would do that! And my cheekbones look more defined. I know there's a lot of swelling to go down but I think I'm going to like it!

Do you know if you had a general or local anesthesia? Were you able to drive home by yourself?

I took two Lortab 325mg each, and two Valium 5mg each right before. I don’t remember if they gave me anything else orally before they started the procedure. They used loc

Thank you for your reply. Did you ask your doctor if he could laser the bruising to make it dissolve faster?
