WORTH IT$12,000
I had my tummy tuck with extensive liposuction to my back, flanks, upper abdomen, arms and chin on October 29, 2013 by Dr. Remus Repta. I am just over three weeks P/O and I feel and look amazing (if I do say so myself).
Like many other stories I have read about on real self, I too had many areas that, no matter how much I watched my diet and exercised just would not go away.
I was always a bit skeptical about plastic surgery. My late Mother always taught me that true beauty comes from within. I honestly do still believe that. But to become beautiful inside, sometimes it takes outside help from a professional to fix the things that you simply can not fix on your own. I saw a therapist to help heal the inside of me so what would be so different about seeking a professional to help make the outside of me match the inside. Once I looked at things from that perspective I understood that people have plastic surgery for a variety of reasons that often help them complete a personal journey that can be life changing. I found Dr. Repta after extensive research and many consultations with local doctors. He is an artist. He took a tummy and body that had taken much abuse over the years between a c-section and years of yo-yo dieting and turned my body into something that was beyond my wildest dreams and expectations. When I get out of the shower and see myself in the mirror I can not believe that it is me.
I am proud of the way I look now and I owe that all to Dr. Repta.
Yes the procedure was a major surgery so the recovery is difficult at times especially for the first couple of days. By week 2 I was feeling well enough to start to resume my normal routine. Although at first I did get easily tired out. But each day got easier and now 3 weeks post op I have my drain out, have minimal swelling and have no pain that tylenol can't take care of. My scar is flawless already and Dr. Repta has assured me that it will keep looking better. I will post before and after pictures next week.
And yes it was 100% worth it.
