How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

I have been contemplating writing this review for...
I have been contemplating writing this review for a while. But after much consideration I want to share my experience with Dr. Shapiro and his office staff. First off, I had had a nightmare result with another doctor in Chandler AZ. So since I am only in my thirties, I didnt want to go the rest of my life with this bad result. For my revision I really researched my next surgeon; Dr. Shapiro was highly recommended, but I was told his office staff was unfriendly . In my consultation, Dr. Shapiro was professional, kind, interested in my objective, and he had a fantastic personality. And Joanne was nice as well. Then it became weird. The front office women were completely rude to me. (It was bizarre.) They whispered and were laughing about me and made rude comments about my mother, (she was waiting for me in the waiting area). I have never in my life had such an unprofessional experience at a doctor’s office. I cried in my car as I drove home. As anyone would do I made a complaint to the manager. A week later, I decided I still wanted Dr. Shapiro to do my surgery, even though his staff was rude, I called to schedule my appointment to pay for the sugery. I was told I could not ever be a patient of Dr. Shapiro’s. I felt completely in the dark about this experience. I did nothing wrong but complain about mistreatment by the staff. Then, three years later I recommended Dr. Shapiro to my cousin, she chose Dr. Shapiro. As I waited with her pre- surgery, Dr. Shapiro told me to go ahead and schedule surgery for myself, he apologized for what transpired three years ago, (I did not ask, he offered for me to have surgery) so I tried to make another appointment, same thing happened all over again. I was told I was not welcome to the office. If this is how they deal with patients on a regular basis, then am surprised they have clientele. I am a normal woman, highly educated (I have a Bachelors Degree in Science), intelligent and friendly. At no time did I do anything that would be out of line or strange. I simply complained, very calmly and assertively, about a very crude office staff. If you’re looking for a fantastic doctor than use Dr. Shapiro, but I warn you his office staff is very unprofessional, and their high and mighty attitudes about themselves are an obvious delusion. Just because you work for a Top PS doesn’t make you special or give merit to be cold, in fact it should be innate for you to have manners, couth, kindness, warmth, empathy all of the qualities one should possess when working for a doctor (especially the receptionist who is as old as my mother and should know better). Regardless, whatever you do, if you want to use Dr. Shapiro as your physician, don’t complain about his unprofessional office staff; you will only be told not to come back.
Provider Review
Dr. Shapiro is intelligent, excellent aesthetic eye, extremely skilled, and all if his before and after photos of his patients are superb. I highly recommended him, but I had a disappointing awful experience with the office staff. Worst experience of my life actually. If you are going to be his patient be warned about his office staff.
