After having two kids and finishing nursing, my breasts were sad. Always a natural full C cup, my breasts had decreased a cup size and were left looking deflated and saggy. I knew going into my consultations that a full anchor lift plus implants would be recommended, and I was prepared to undergo the two procedures at the same time. As I described to my PS, I desired lifted, round, and firm breasts with considerable upper pole firmness. We agreed that a full C/small D cup would be perfect for me - a size that I could play up with the right bra and top, but also remain demure if I should choose to do so. I didn't want the sheer size of my chest to prevent me from achieving a "girl next door" look; at the same time, I made it perfectly clear that I wanted a distinct change in size from what I was currently sporting. We also discussed areolar resizing, as my nipples were a little on the larger side. This resizing is done as a part of the mastopexy (lift) procedure.
In August of this year, I underwent a full anchor lift with 397 ccs of silicone implants, placed under the muscle. I also decided to receive (for an additional fee) a local anesthetic administered during the surgery to optimize my pain management post operatively. I filled my pain prescriptions as well, just in case. A couple hours later and I had my new boobies! Pain management was a breeze (thanks to the additional anesthetic); I only took about half of the prescribed pain medication. I had my post-op appointment the following day, during which my ace bandage and cotton was removed, and I had my first glance at my new breasts......I loved them IMMEDIATELY! I had some swelling, of course, but I could clearly see what was achieved: upper pole fullness, beautiful round shape, and no signs of droopiness whatsoever. The size was exactly what we had discussed. I also luckily got away with zero bruising. The nurse fitted me with a frontal closure sports bra and informed me that I could switch into any comfortable sports bra upon returning home.
A few weeks later, I had my second post-op appointment and everything continued to look great - the implants have settled nicely so while I don't look as swollen, I have still retained the upper pole fullness I desired. I've played around with different sports bras for fun, and wore my bikini for the first time at about 3 weeks post-op -- it was one of the best feelings I've had in a really long time!!! Now, at almost 6 weeks post-op, my mobility is increasing as I am able to have a larger range of arm motion without feeling my incisions under the breast. I have been careful to follow all post-op instructions (lie on back, not side or tummy; do not lift more than 5 lbs for the first 4 weeks, minimal physical exertion, etc), and although I "cheated" a few times with lifting (I have a four year old and a two year old, come on!) I feel that abiding by these guidelines has really helped this healing process go as well as it has. I am now using Maderma and silicone strips on the incisions for faster healing and to make the scars as invisible as possible. Would I do this entire experience all over again? Absolutely. I am so, so happy.

I would be remiss if I didn't include the fact that yes, recovery is no walk in the park. I don't want to oversimplify this by any means in my review above. Sleeping in a certain position, not being able to lift much of anything nor put my hands over my head, and feeling very sore and right were indeed elements of this surgery that are just impossible to avoid. But these annoyances pale in comparison to the satisfaction I feel from the results I've gotten.

Thanks you for sharing your journey with this community.
It sound like your results have resulted in a huge confidence boost. Good for you!
